yeah. alpines instruction manual is nothing more than "this button does this, this button if pressed for 2 seconds does this" i'm gonna call alpine on monday and see what they say.

to get the adhesive off i use adhesive remover. goo-b-gone. aircraft adhesive remover. anything like that. once you clean the stuff off, give that area a good scrub and wash with some soap and water, because it kind of leaves a greasy residue.

i kind of liked it before. matched the grill, rims, mirrors and bumbers. looks good either way though.

no it was powered off the usb. i bought two 8 gb flash drives and they work fine.

i just like to have any song i like at my disposal. the man reason i wanted it was so i could just put all my cd's on it and not have to carry my huge cd cases in my car. i've got about 400 cd's in my car right now. not burned cd's either. these are all cd's i have bought.

i figured that was the problem with the 250 gb but i expected to at least be able to use a 16gb. guess i have to get (4) 4 gb. wtf.

i also tried a 250 gb external hard drive. said the same thing.

i've got a alpine 9886 and i'm using a 2 gb usb flash drive for my music right now but when i try to plug in my 16gb it says error. anyone have a clue why this is doing that?

bad rca signal. ground them real good because you have a pioneer. pioneers are notorious for this.

ground the rca's i've seen this a million times. especially with pioneer's i know what you mean by the subs go crazy. whats happening is your rca's are picking up a dc signal and translatting that into the amp which goes nuts and throws out a 45 hz tone.

i would go with the hyper pole (includes cooling) and not get the flatwind if it is daily. but if you will be using it for comps and stuff to then get the flatwind. the cooling really extends the life of the sub.
