If you make the port 11 inches high and 23 inches wide youll get 253 inches of port, which would be just shy of the reccomended 16inches per cubic foot. Shorten the length to about 39-40 inches. Thats if you want to go that big and :hairtrick: :hairtrick: a little bit. Honestly , no bashing anyone, Id go with the size I recomended because Itll move some serious air and wont constrict the woofers at all. What subs are you using by the way?

Jl Audio W7...legit Ebay Store To Buy From?
Slappin F150 replied to neutman21's topic in Subwoofers / Enclosures
Ive got quite a few things from them on ebay and they always come through. Id go ahead and get it. I havent had any bad luck with them. -
16 square inches of port is required per cubic foot so 16cubes X 16inchesperfoot = 256 inches of port. That can be accomplished with a port with an I.D. of 16X16. And according to me 28hz would require it to be 41.7 inches long, but dont hold me to that, I havent done math in a while. So port is 16x16 and 41.7 inches long for 28hz.

Get the 5701 for the viper, Its a 2way so that if for somereason you cant hear your trucks alarm going off, your remote beeps with the truck alarm. I was planning on getting the 5701 for my truck. -
The more square a port is the less chance you have for port noise. Id make it the squarest you can possible in your setup which would be the 8x34.

Once its in the truck and I get my big3 done Ill get it metered...also if I can find someone around me that has a TL or something equivalent... Maybe one of the audio shops around here have one...notta clue. Im just hoping its loud that my 2 12 cvx's haha. What ya guys think? Would have more pics but I somehow managed to drop the sub box on my camera and destroy it . Oh well. Borrowed my friends camera and took some shots. Here ya go! I should be done with it by thursday or friday, trying to work on this between 2 jobs is a little rough. But its almost done. I just randomly screwed it together, didnt have patience to measure it out all nice and neat lol. Used some 3m rubberized undercoating to cover the box...gonna need a couple more cans...

Worked on it for a couple hours today. Just got a few things done. Ran out of 3/4 mdf for the port so I had to improvise with some 1/2 i had laying around from my other box i made recently. Heres some pics. Just set this ontop so I could see how it looks! Made a 1/2 recess for the woofer , not bad for just a jigsaw!

So I just picked up and 18'' Fi Bl. And I had this wonderful idea of putting it in my truck. So I started to do it. Keep in mind this is my first major build, and 2nd box ever, so if I do something wrong, tell me, give me tips if you guys like also! Id appreciate it! One Fi Bl 18 One Hifonics 1606 | Going to be RF T1500bd soon. Seven cubic feet @ 33Hz Heres my progress as of today. To help the glue set I put some weight on it. And thats how I left it today.
