i have a Garrett turbo that my buddy is tryin to sell. came off of a D series motor. includes headers, turbo and boost controller. !!MAKE OFFER!! Turbo was freshly rebuilt.

or find someone to resharpen the bit you have. it cost alot less and alot of bits and saw blades just need a good sharpening

assuming your amps have HPF and LPF you can split the signal with y-adapters. run one to the highs amps and set that amp to HPF and the other to the sub amps and set that one to LPF. what amps are they?

whats up. well i may be getting into a comp here soon but i have no idea what i am doing. i read some of the rules on termlab. but im not sure what class i would be in. i have two 15's, two 2sub amps and a total of three batteries. how do you know what some to play? is it best to play a song or play a sweep? are there any tips you can offer me. i dont plan on taking 1st or anything, well not yet but some help would be great. i have looked around and some people say use some jeezy and others say lil jon then some say play a sine wave. i dunno. i have no way of testing my setup before the comp so i dont have any idea what would be best. im really just looking for some suggestions. thanks

i really dont have a clue where hes gonna end up or why hes gonna go there. we have decided that my son, when he is old enough, can make the decision for himself. it was a somewhat difficult decision to make but i think we are doing the right thing. thanks to everyone, i really really appreciate the support and all your opinions. the hardest part was to make the decision and not make it because we (me and my wife) strongly dislike him. we are both on the same page, F**K him! but we had to do whats best for our son. things will turn out just fine im sure.

yeah its terrible. that was my first car and the rear went out in it and i never spent the money to get it fixed. as soon as i finish this build i am going to work on the chrysler. i am going to pull the 440 out and rebuild it. i have the whole Edlebrock Performer RPM kit for it and i have a guy thats gonna rebuild the rear for $800. i might buy a StreetFighter tranny for it too, havent decided yet though. hopefully i will get to start on it before the year is out.

well i havent updated for a while cause i havent had a chance to work on the box. i sent it to get sprayed with Line X the other day and got it back yeaterday. it looks amazing. so today i took the box over to my pops house to get some work done. i made a short lil vid for you guys and took a couple pics. mostly today i tore out the existing so i can plan for the new set up. so heres what i got. my lil vid well after i got the box all wired up and the subs bolted in the box i started to plan where i will but the batteries since they are the first part of the chain in the rear of the truck. so after looking and trying different spots i came up with this spot. its in the rear on the left side there is a little compartment with a lid that lifts up, its the perfect spot to mount my two HC800's. i will have to cut it out and build a rack but i think it will be a great spot. i didnt get to work on it cause it got late but heres some shots of where i am talking about. its a little blurry but that whats behind the panel, hopefully i can work around the metal that proturdes inward where the gas filler is at. i removed the factory subwoofer from that spot so there is plenty of room back there, i hope. well thats it for now, i will be working on it everyday after work so i should have more for you tomorrow. and if this needs to be moved please do since its kinda getting away from the box build. maybe it can get moved to member builds.

thanks guys. i was talking to my wife and thats what we talked bout, the fact that when he gets older and everything is explained to him he can make the decision for himself. he should be easy to find. thanks agian for the comments and support.

well when i met my wife she had 2 kids. the oldes was 3 and the youngest was 1. neither one of their fathers was around. they never called, paid child support or came around period. not even there familes called or came around. my wife took care of everything by herself. well when we started dating i became attached to the kids real quick. we moved in together about 9 months after we started dating and over time the kids started to call me dad. i had no problem with that at all. i plan on being around for the long haul. well now the youngest(at the time) is 6 and the oldest is 10, we also have another who is 3 now. they all call me dad and no nothing else. the 10 year old knows i am not his biological father but doesnt question much. i have talked to my oldest about it and i think he gets it but hes still a little to young to fully understand. My middle sons bilogical father was sent to jail the day he was born and has been in and out of jail many times since and as i said has made no attempt to be apart of his life. Well he called my wife today, got her number from my brother in law, and told her that he is going to court monday and that he is facing 60 years. he wasnt to see my son. Me and my wife both are kinda torn as what we should do. They are my kids and after 6 years of his father not being there i really dont feel like i should take him to see him. neither does my wife. but we also feel like we could be making a mistake. my wife is worried that he may try to hurt her because he hates me or that he may try to set her up and take our son. obviosly if she goes im going too, but that thought is still in her head. in no way am i hiding the fact that i am not his "real" father but at 6 i cant see the good in taking him around a stranger. what good could come of it? what might he plan on telling my son, that im not his dad. and then what....hes off to do his 60 years and not see him again, possibly forever. i strongly feel that there could be no good to come from this. we are pretty much set on not taking him but i just wanna know what you guys think. thanks for listening.

you should mount some bolts into the wood frame of the pod then you can just use nuts and washers to hold them in place. thats what i plan to do. drill you some holes in the frame and countersink the bolts and use some epoxy or something to keep the bolt in place/from turing.

i talked him outta downfiring and i have James working on a box for him now. thanks for all the help though.

you dont think that would sound bad? i would think in a jeep you woulndt want the subs or the port firing at the bastseat.

well this setup is for my friends jeep cherokee. he wants to be able to put stuff on top of his box, since most likely he will loose alot of space in his truck. i told him that it didnt sound like a great idea because what ever he puts on top of his box is gonna get beat to hell plus his likely to hear it bouncing around on the box. but he is my friend and you cant tell him anything. he always asks me for ideas and help and somehow he always ends up at the flea market looking for gear no matter what i tell him. he always finds a cheap way out of my advice. i say buy some Knuconceptz he goes and saves .10 and buys welding wire, i say dont buy Power Acoustik....he goes and buys power acoustic, i say if you wanna get loud dont wast money on $50 sonys....he buys sonys. and so on and so on and so on. back to the box though. he wants a downfire but he doesnt really want it right down on the floor. his first idea was he was gonna put the box across the wheel humps in the back of the truck, i told him that doesnt sound safe and it will proly not sound good. my suggestion to him was if thats the way he wanted his box then build the box and add some sides to it that go like 8or so inches past the bottom edge of the box to raise it up. my only concern is do we still port the box or as thehoe92 said the space is the port? i still think he should just put the subs up and just port back but i am trying to get some ideas for everyone here first. thanks for all the help everyone.

my buddy that bought my 3 12's wants to put them in his jeep and have them downfiring he wants to raise the box up on both sides so that the top of the box meets the top of his backseats, not sure of dimensions yet. anyway it will be 2 12's dowfiring and ported. where do you suggest we put the port? will the subs downfiring make a difference?

well i thought i would let everyone know of my experience with NofearX18. He had some batteries for sale but was also looking for a 4 channel. i was looking for some batteries and i had an extra 4 channel amp. we came to an agreement that we would just trade each other straight up, he would pay my shipping and i would pay his. well he told me he was gonna ship the batteries out to me last Friday and he did, i got them Monday. i shipped him my amp saturday and hopefully he gets it by tomorrow. but you cant go wrong with some good old fashion trust. he didnt know me but he shipped me the batteries with just my word that he would get the amp. im glad everything worked out well so far and i can say that he seems to be a stand up guy and if anybody was to ever do some buisness with him im here to let you know it should go smoothly. thanks for the batteries and i hope you get your amp tomorrow.

well my buddy picked up a Power Acoustic Stax 4000D for $150 from some guy at the flea market so hes no longer in need of an amp. the site says it will do 2200W @ 1ohm. what do you guys think, is it really puttin out that much power. i call b/s cause first off they say its a 4000w amp but then spec it out at only 2200 W. anyway thats the deal
