  1. I thought black market audio was a scam a month or so ago. Sounds Good.
  2. I have a cherry bomb on my 2000 cavalier 2.2 manual and it seriously sounds decent. Not too loud not quite either. Just right. 20 dollor fix i think your right get rid of the cat. If you want a really nice sounding exhaust look into aeroturbine. AeroTurbine Linky
  3. Yup. lvl 4xl or lvl 5
  4. Anyone know if a dc recone would work with a american bass vfl extreme 12 d2? Its got a 3" coil and i emailed jacob and he said the nightshade recone would work but the coil would have to be set higher...
  5. Ok thanks. Im just gonna a 15" btl so next time hopefully this wont happen. The sub went out completely and filled the car with smoke haha. anyone wanna buy a blown sub for cheapppp. lol
  6. i guess nobody wants to help lol. ill just try a recone.
  7. would a woofer do what im explaining? I mean i have all connections and settings correct as before.
  8. It still feels as though the woofer itself is starting to go out. It bottoms out way too often and simply sounds distorted and doesnt sound half as loud as before the battery. Im afraid that if i recone it, it would sound the same. Could it be some type of setting i messed up? I dont believe i ever put 1500 to it which is whats its rated but i may have clipped it a little.
  9. A friend that knows alot is coming over to diagnose it. hes on the forum too and knows quite a bit. EDIT: I did happen to have a battery tester at work and it seems to be fine. Does the sub's coils being really dark not matter cause it doesnt seem like its a concern to you guys. idk it'll soon be figured out and ill be back to having some beat. Thanks for those who helped. Also if there is anything i missed feel free to add to the list haha.
  10. I dont have another amp and no other sub and yes both batts are 12 volt.
  11. I did and without the battery i added today i was dropping into the 10's now i drop to 13.3 was the lowest i could see with the meter hooked up. I took the sub out once again and checked and i must have been blind its pretty dark coils. The sub bottoms out and sounds really weak. I also switched everything back as if i never had the battery and it still does it but worse must have been a coincidence. Could i still be wrong?
  12. I came to the conclusion that the sub was heavily clipped and its going out. Now i need to recone it and my next question is it possible to recone an american bass vfl xtreme 12" with a nightshade recone? This sub has a 3" coil so im guessing its possible. thanks My sub is rated at 1500rms and the nightshades are also so i thought they would match pretty much
  13. headunit is the first thing I checked. this is really bothering me now cause it could be anything right? everything was fine before battery install and I figured that couldn't hurt. sounds like a very weak 10'' woofer my stuff is in my sig if you need to know.
  14. ok checked voltage and everything seems to be in good looking order there but still having the problem... I checked the sub and coils and everything look good as new. what else could be the problem?
  15. I checked the voltage and it seemed fine hooked up ill remove it and then check
  16. Could it be possible the woofer is on its last leg? It really doesnt make sense unless the battery is junk. It is ok to run power from front batt to rear batt then ground in back right thats how i always thought it was done.
  17. I went and picked up a rear battery for the cavalier this morning left it on the charger for a hour and a half and installed it. Now the system doesnt get half as loud and sounds distorted as hell. I checked all fuses grounds and connections and left amp settings alone what could be the problem? Im really stumped as just before install it sounded good... The battery is a Everstart maxx marine from walmart intended to only get me by until i order a kinetik hc1800.
  18. Go Here it lists Frequencys... Look before you ask.
