I could do that too but i think aluminum would be much much better to use. The weight adds up quick. Im a welder by trade so i think i know where to get the material and a tig welder. How many cu foot should i give those 15's more then 8cuft? sense i have 20 cuft to work with is it possible to keep it below the window line and extend it into the trunk? Ideas Ideas...

Those measurements were with back seat removed and all plastic panels out. Im thinking ill have to double or triple the face for at least 3 inches of mdf then the rest 2 inches all the way around then stiffen it up with 2x2 and such would would take from the internal volume. I wish i had someone that lived near to me to help thats done a wall in a car. I thought about once done with the project i could have the whole interior rhino lined for sound deadening? Good or bad idea? I have a bunch of 1/4 inch rubber matting that i could do inside the door panels, roof, floor and such for free instead of professional stuff thats thin and need 4+ layers. IDK advice?

I measured the car today at work. These are the dem's. 37" top width, 47" bottom width, 28" top depth, 30" bottom depth, 31" Front Height, 27" Back Height. Minus fender wells. Thats all the room i have to work with unless i use some trunk which i may have to do. Can someone tell me how much cu foot i have so Far? Im coming up with 21.00cu foot...

Umm its destroying the vehicle i want alot of bump not that much. There arent many systems like this for miles Me and tristan560 are the the only competition around here. He has a couple btl 18's on 5k i believe. Like i mentioned this is my only vehicle why ruin it? until i get a jeep which i can swap everything into.

Could i take measurements and post them up for a second opinion? All the back seat is for enclosure... all amps and batts in trunk.

I did a little calculating and unless im doing it wrong all i can fit is 8.4 cuft comfortably :hairtrick: Id think those 15's would be perfect for that am i wrong? what tuning should i use?

Yes thats what id like to stay away from...

I can go with pretty much anything that can fit. I would like to stay with DC though and that would be powered with a Sundown 2000D. I think the two level 4 15's would be louder then one level 4 xl 18 with the cone area. Would the lvl 4 15's walled demolish my car would you think??!! You guys have more experience then me this would be my first and only build so i want it right the first time. I dont want to go through 3 systems and 10,000 enclosures so i need the help now!!! Someone please chime in!!! I can pay a few bucks for for guidence

Ok heres the deal. I have a 2000 chevrolet cavalier coupe and i want to put a decent sized system in it. I first planned to do 2 15" DC lvl 4's in a 8cu enclosure tuned to 32hz but figured it would demolish my car now im thinking 4 DC level 3 12"s. I really dont plan on going to compititions or anything i just want a insane daily beat for a small car. Im powering it with a sundown 2000D and i have all my mids and highs already installed. In the dc video's section theres a neon with two lvl 5 15's i believe and the windshild and roof flex like no other!!! Dont get me wrong thats awesome but not for me. As a real first system what should i go with? It would be nice to have the backseat and have it all in the truck versus the wall. Any ideas what could i do? thanks

I hope to have my 2 lvl 4 15s walled in my cavalier soon on a sundown 2000d... I hope i dont have as much flex as the neon. i want the car to last a few years The neon is bassass tho.

I have a stock 105 amp alt in my cavalier and plan on putting a sundown 2000d and a 75x4 amp in. Im just wondering if A deka 9A31 battery and a regular ole' Napa battery would be fine together? Would this be enough for now to power this system? Are there any better and cheaper group 31 batteries? Could someone just run a list of batteries i could choose from? Will the alt burn up if i add another battery?
