  1. I have a 2000 cavalier which you need one of those modules to keep factory chimes when you install a aftermarket headunit. Is it possible to just relocate the stock headunit to somewhere unseen and splice the power and ground (or new ground) for the new headunit? I have had some bad experiences with those modules and want to avoid them in my car completely. Any suggestions? If i install it like any other headunit will it harm my car or anything? I dont need the chimes.
  2. Put up pictures when you can. Its not going to be hidden or anything. Thanks ohh yeah any warrenty? Still looking for a Sundown 100.4 used or new for cheap!!!!
  3. You ever see what was the max rms at 1ohm the 2000d puts out?
  4. Do you know of a good place to get the materials? If there was a "Best Idea of the Day" u would get it lol.
  5. Nobody has worked with it? It doesnt look to be that expensive. Basically from what i have read you have to clean the part, tack rag it for dust and stuff, then lay down a coat of resin, let that sit for a few hours or until tacky but cant leave a finger print if touched then lay the mat and dab resin into it forcing bubbles and air out and repeat process until you have the amount of layers needed. They mentioned that all layers can be done at once but id let it dry for a hour or two between layers just in case.
  6. Does anyone know how to carbon fiber? I heard it is much much harder to do then fiberglass and is also as strong. I dont want it for its lightweight but for its looks. I plan on doing my enclosure and console maybe a few other small things. thanx
  7. After this post im done but yeah i wasnt a smart kid like i mentioned above i also got a 100+ ticket and a wreckless driving that was reduced to a careless. I needless to say stopped driving crazy and fast. Its just not worth it but the way people drive around here pisses me off and it seems like everyday is a sunday to most drivers. Sorry for cluttering your post tho. Hope that you dont get charged a arm and a leg. What policy did you have full coverage or plpd?
  8. Time to switch agents bro. They knew i was at fault and told me all they could charge me was a deductable when i asked about possible rate increases. I wonder if it was because my high deductable...
  9. It could be a bad connection. Are you just running a single amp? I had two amps off a alpine 4 volt preamp and mine slowed down. I forgot what it was called now but i made it 12volt and now its much faster. hope it helps.
  10. That sucks. Im just going by what i heard and experienced.
  11. I had to pay the deductables theres no way of getting around it. But there are ways to get around rate increases, Its illegal for a insurance company to raise their rates after an accident you just need to be SMART about it. After all thats why you have insurance so that you dont have to pay outragous amounts for crashes and deaths. I personally heard this from a insurance rep from allstate. Maybe you should look into this. IF YOU FILE A CLAIM YOU MUST PAY A DEDUCTABLE. understand? EDIT- I misunderstood your post and thought you were mocking me sorry. How did you not pay a deductable? You must have got really lucky. My deductables a grand so im in the hole 3 grand plus tickets lol. Its a live and learn thing.
  12. I had three major accidents and my policy didnt raise a cent. Totalled one car, Rear ended a brand new jeep that was just driven off the lot, and hit my gf's dads car which shoved the wheel into the cab of a brand new malibu all in a year. My excuse was that it was a really bad winter which it was on record. That was since i got my license 4 years ago. Allstate "Your in GOOD hands"!!!!!!! Makes me a believer
  13. I know this is off topic but does anyone know of a really good link for reconing Dc/fi subs? Im going to get a dc xl12" and run it hard off of sundown 2000d. Thanks I didnt want to post another thread for something so small.
  14. Looks like a nice ten. If you dont mind how much did it run ya?
  15. Pm me a price and picture of amp for condition and such. thanks 125x4 may just be perfect. Or just roughly describe it and give a link for looking it up.
  16. Or if you plan on selling in may or so hit me up then. I dont need them now!! They are just powering rockford component 6.5's and 3 way 6x9's btw if your selling those two shoot a price or something very simular
  17. Im looking for a good 100x4 amp for mids and highs. I would prefer the sundown 100x4 but will consider all. Pictures needed of amp and member name date and time also. Thanks.
  18. Perfect Daily. Good Work. Videos?
  19. Around here waxing is as far as they go but im sure if you ask for it they will do it. If you want good results dont just let a cheap shop do it.
  20. x2 on that its its daily id stay 2000 rms sub and 100 rms speaker range. Too much more and theres alternaters, batteries, multiple runs of 1/0. 2000 watts is nice when done correctly. Dont get me wrong ho alts and batts are nice but expensive
  21. If your interested sundown does make a SAZ3500D. Its in the making lol. What type of vehicle you putting it in? For subs id go with Fi, DC, Sundown, you get the idea... Your making me go bigger lol 4000 watt monster poosh.
  22. Man right now you can get a sundown 1500 and 2000 for like 425 which is an amazing price. I wouldnt trade them for anything im infact getting 1 more 2000 soon. I believe they are spl. Quality and looks are unheard of and service is great. Whats your price range if you dont mind maybe i can help ya out if you dont mind me asking?
  23. I personally like rockfords components and 6x9's. Run by a sundown 100x4 which is msrp like $550. A tip for ya if your into car audio get the right stuff the first time saves ya money and time. No cutting corners like i have done in the past. I recommend the big 3, knukoncepts wire is thicker "more strands then rockford", use only top name fuses and holders cause thats whats protecting your equipment, I like sundown they always took care of me. Its all up to you and your budget. Im getting a full system for my cavalier mids, highs, lows, headunit for under $2000 and it should bump nice.
