A guy is selling two 2610 hifonics amps for 600 in the for sale section.
I had two hifonics amps..a 1608 and 1610. Worked great and never got hot.

Curious as if the voltage start point was 15 volts vs say anything MUCH higher..and/or how much better would it be with, say, an MLA? I mean 14.4v is still good, not knocking that, but how much of a drop did you have was more of my curiousity. I have no clue the 2nd part of his statement though.

If you buy from ebay you gets no warranty. Pay the extra and get it from OCS and get a warranty with it. They are that much more.

As for running the 2608 vs the 2610, then only difference between the two are cosmetic. The guts are the same. You can double check on their forums. Just google maxxsonics forums.

Just out of curiosity, why was the voltage at 15.0 volts before the load was placed on the alternator? Does the setpoint if the regulator you use start off that high?

Oh I agree with you james (and everyone else who agrees with James), but when stuff like this happens to you and you know you are doing it then one thing sums it up...illegal is illegal. Don't bitch about them banning you for what you did wrong, just figure out a way to be better than them catching you. =)
50-60 bucks a game seems high, but I don't complain because I don't know the ins and outs of how a game is made, how it cost to make etc etc, so I rent/ play a demo before I buy a game. This way I'm getting a game I'll like or I'll wait to buy it used some where. I am a cheap ass though.
Edit: And yes Steve that is so true about amps...I still remember working as a bagger in a grocery store back in 95 just to buy the Orion 2250 'The Beast'! It was not cheap (to me)

Yep Clif Designs was more of your mid 90's 3 level stuff to compete with PG, RF, Orion, PPI etc etc. I think they had there better stuff around the same time Orion did the Orion 2250 Beast amp. hahah I loved that amp.
