Well i have a ported box tuned to 33hz sub up port up and its nice and loud but the port is giving me a lot issues with flexing and port noises. If someoen could design me a box with the pretty close to the same measurement of this box but with the port behind the sub firing up please. also tuned to 33hz

i think i would know seeing how its sitting in my truck and there is 2 lights one for power and one for clip its a 26th anniversary edition if that changes anything

yeah never stinky just if you put your palm on the dustcap you can feel its a tad warmer then cab temp. ive just been lately sticky my hand back and feeling it after a song and noticing it to be warmer then room temp just slightly

i have 18" fully loaded Fi ssd and sometimes the dustcap seems to get a bit warm after 3 songs in a row or so i set the gains with dmm for about 1100 rms running off hifonics bxi1608d the clip light is not comming on the amp either? just wondering it is normal for it to get a little warm. also there has never been any coil smell

would putting the all thread and 2x4 change my displacement and tunning alot?

i do plan to rebuild but seeing how its -30 out everyday here i just want to fix it so it sounds good again.

dont really have the option to rebuild it at the moment anyways i can renforce it rite now

Well ive had my 18" FI SSD for about a month now and im very impressed with it. beats the hell outa my truck but my box is having issues. The 12" port wall is now flexing and is making a lot of port noise now its screwed to the baffels but just glued everywhere else.

in a spl sense yes it would but if your looking for sq not so much 2 12's will be a lil louder though

well few things to consider are the amps strapable? if not if your sub is a DVC you can run one amp to one coil and another to the other coil, but then you would have to gain match which isnt always reliable and easier to cause coil damage

look on ebay man or dealercoastudio.com for hifonics they go for i think $250 on dealercoast and around $275 on ebay brand new i orderd a bxi1608 off ebay last week for $300 shipped brand new

oh so lits like one box is going on the left side and one is on the right side of the trunk so middle is empty?

depends on how your box is going to be and such but usually you can get away with a less powerful sub if you go with more then one then one big sub.

why dont instead of making two make one big one? prob use less mdf or same amount?

its all in the box man you could have some of the best subs but have a prefab or shitty box a set up like this guys would sound better
