I was having a little conversation with a buddy about car audio. Now. He doenst know much. He thinks JL Audio > GOD. He also thinks Hifonics amps are the tits. He made a claim that the 12w6 subwoofer has never been blown by anyone. I called BS, he got sentenced today for some stupid shit he did in the past and i wont see him for a few years, but it made me wonder if this was a valid claim.

is ur ground and all your connections good? I cant believe a little 400w RMS amp would strain an electrical system like that. Im only runnin 1k and i dont get drops unless im at idle.

My friend made me a CD the other day of songs hes made. Some of them have good bass. I wanna share them with you guys, he gave me permission as long as i give him and my other friend credit for making them, which i planned on anyway. But idk how to get them so everyone can download them and listen to them. One track is a hip hop beat, the others are all more on the electronic side. MSRP of my shit not counting wiring and wood is 2049. Our insurance agent is a long time family friend (dads fraternity brothers dad) and hes been pretty good to us. So im thinkin i may not have to deal with too much bullshit. I dont make changes all that often. Like, ill build a new box, but thats it. I am planning a new build this year once i can save up some money, so well see what i gotta go through when i do that.

Well, settin up my insurance to include my car audio equipment so if it does get broken into, im covered. Its with Pekin Insurance, much smaller company than say...state farm, progressive, etc. They want a list of all my gear and equipment. Do i put the MSRP of when it came out, what I paid, or what its worth now?

i got a buddy who has aced 7 a few times, did it again 2 days ago. Ive been playin like shit since i went on vacation. My form kinda sucks, lol. Yes i play daily, but i need to practice more. I need to play some more courses. I need to work on my throws more, problem is the course we always play is in the woods, so its HEAVILY wooded, i dont like riskin it with tryin out new shots when i only got one disc still. I got a friend who lost his disc on 9 the other day last week, came back the next day and found it in a tree. Yesterday i ran into him as he was takin off and i was arrivin, he lost it again on the same hole, lol.

Im at campton daily, though its a bit of a hike from Dekalb. I got buddies who like bartlett, but im not a big fan of big open fields. The lombard course is a nice one, but thats a good hour and a half from you i think. And ive heard good things about jherico (sp?) in batavia. but i heard dekalbs course is sub par, lol.

Everyone says its bad to have the port too close to the rear hatch, thats why i was thinkin subs up port up, i can make it fit if i go 33 deep on it. Makin the box kinda big, hes puttin them on a 2500w amp, not sure what it is, so the box the way i have it is gunna be 14.5-15 cubes tuned to 35 Hz port is a bit big 16.7 per cube. But i think it should work.

anyone ever seen subs mounted 2 up, 2 back, port up? would that work? he mentioned something about wanting to do it like that, i should just tell him tell the dude to wall it behind the back seats, he just wants it loud as fuck anyway.

i play daily. There are some nice courses in the suburbs of chicago. One of which out by lombard i believe they have pro tourneys at. It really is a blast. I got a good sized group of friends who we all go out when we can. Usually get a round or two right before sundown while its not too hot. Course we have is a short course but its alot of hills, so you if you play a few rounds you can say you got some cardio in, lol.

He wants to go ported if possible also. Ill be workin on it today, probably get it done this evening or tomorrow.

Just got a call from a buddy who i went to acoustic edge with whos workin for a shop. Needs a design for 4 15 L7s in a 2dr 96 hoe. Going to just be a mean daily setup. Im thinkin 12-15 cubes, subs up port back. its gunna be beast. Thing is. I was told all i had for depth was 33" from seat to tailgate. Shit, my blazer has 35" so is that right? I know its got more width to work with, but damn. that just sounds shallow, may have to run subs up port up.

I give up, hes hopeless, its easier to talk to a brick wall.
