Well one of the goals of "Pre-amp" voltage being higher is less gain used on the amp to match it, also known as gain matching your input source. With less gain used the amps output is less likely to clip or become distorted (for those that don't know what clipping is)

Actually I am noticing a new trend related to this. There's a couple of guys on youtube with 2 even 4 subs running off of there computer as a source. The amps used vary from 120volt home or pro audio to actual car audio amps with huge 12volt supplies. I guess if thats what they like so be it. It might be cool to play Call of Duty 4-5 with some crazy bass so when explosions happen you might blow your bedroom window out! Or better yet people can start making vids showing there bedroom window flexxin! lol

Thats not true either, If your headunit is cheap garbage and is sending a distorted signal then 2volt or 100volts isn't going to make it cleaner. Higher voltage helps push the signal along the the rca's and the higher the better when dealing with distrubuting it or longer lengths.

"Pre-amp" is refering to your input, meaning "Before the amp" or pre-amp. some amps can accept up to 15volts though most will never see that unless have a good line driver. Numbers will change when you distribute your input leads to several amps as well.

Yea that'd be like 2500 total for me. I could probably knock that out in a week maybe two.

If your truely going for SPL and don't care about sound quailty then I rebuild your port and tune for around 45 or 50hz, your peak note will a little higher whatever you tune your box at. I seen a two db increase from tuning of 35hz to 58hz, but I am building a removable port so I can have both sql and spl.

I know this is a little off the OP topic but I did a .ppt for a college class and I did it on SPL competitions, everyone loved it. So I say go car audio or car audio competitions, sql, or dbdrag.

You can remote to her router, but she has to set it up. You would use port 8080, she just has to go into admin and enable it and password protect it.

Remember there's gibralter north and south. North is Mt.Clemens and south is Taylor and yes all those guy's will be at both. For bigpimpin- Most of those guys are in the 60's now! but I'm sure you already knew that if your on termlab. and as far as my box it was never tuned to 30hz I tuned it to 36hz, but I am in the process of making removable ports. One for street and 36hz, and one for SPL around 65hz.
