  1. Sometimes less is more, I`ve tried squeesing alot af subs in a very limited space (compared to the ideal volume), just not worth it. Have done some simulations with isobaric setups and it gives a slight boost on the lower frequenzy`s. And lower volume than requiered will often cause a peaky response.
  2. Doing a wall setup usually require more volume (up to 50% larger than suggested box volume), the woofers need some air to get really loud. Example: The first box I made for my DD Z9518`s barely broke a 150 (okey, non walled and too little box volume) Then when I made the "real" one with a wall with about 30% larger than suggested volume it did 154.5, and it did 150+ from 23-60hz. The most common mistake people do is making too small enclosures for the woofers. Some times it`s not about surface area, but volume
  3. Yup! Sorry for the metric measurements, but I guess ya`ll figure it out
  4. I`m giving away my box design I made some time ago for my "mini" woofers. This box was designed for 2 DD 1508`s in a stationwagon, but I think it would work great with Sundown 8"s as well. I`ve tested it some other cars and were loud in every one of them (not testet in trunk cars though) But if you want a good box for your DD`s or similar woofer, I think this box will suit you well. Tuned to ~35hz. The sketchup does not show kerfs, but you get the idea. Legal score In the kick Port score The box Hope you`ll enjoy it!
  5. Thanks! Poppin dust caps, pulverising voice coils and tearing up the suspension is fun, got a few subs left laying around so they will get the hammer next weekend lol
  6. Got rid of some old woofers I had laying around, the wall socket and the amp did the job quite well, lol And threw in a couple of hairtricks as well
  7. Could you send it to me when you can? I`m gonna shoot some vids tomorrow and would love to have that in there
  8. Okey, think I need to edit my title. It`s a slowed and bass added version of the "in the air tonight" song right? I tried to do it myself with audacity but it had a lot of clipping and I didn`t get it low enough. And I don`t have the patience right now to learn how to use it so I will rather have someone with experience to do it
  9. Thanks man, but not quite the one I`m looking for, but I appriciate your help As long as it`s not under 20hz it`s OK, it falls on it`s ass below that, lol But no, I`ve tried to get in touch with him but I think his inbox is full or something.
  10. I just gotta have this song! The one in Tommy McKinnies vid, In the air tonight, if you make it to 25-38hz range that would be perfect! Or to make it like it sounds on the vid. PM me and name your price I will pay through paypal. Here`s the vid of the song
  11. Thanks man! I think I got to do some Trail and error as dwright27 said And when building a wall, either your standard ported one or a clamshell, tuning is gonna change a bit (usually drops a few hz down) so I think I gonna tune it a tad higher on the calculator and rather adjust it after if it`s needed
  12. I wanna see your buildlog NOW! Gonna run a similar setup as well, so I could use some inspiration from you.
