  1. Any thoughts on the Crunch PZI 2000? I would like to get one ordered this weekend but not sure what you guys think of it.... Good? Bad?
  2. Found another amp that caught my eye a little bit... http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-CRUNCH-PZI2000-1D-...1QQcmdZViewItem For the price of 1 sundown I could run 2 of those. Have to see how this summer goes and see what I can get. Going to go ahead and order me 1 of the subs.....now just gotta decide if I go with the Q or BL and then 12 or 15.
  3. I guess now I need to decide on a decent headunit. Currently running a JVC KD-S690.
  4. Honestly I have never done a box.....The current setup I have the subs were already in a box and I am sure it is a prefabbed box. Guess I get to start designing a box..... Thanks again for the help.
  5. I might also save some money by going with used amp or something if I see something come up. How much would a box cost to make? $100?
  6. Yep I will be installing it all myself. I will be upgrading the battery under the hood in the next few days, possibly this weekend or the next. (optima yellowtop) I might go ahead and order 1 Fi BL and an alternator then start building a box. Sundown is the other amp I was thinking of, do you think it would do better than the Crunch 3000p? Thanks for the thoughts also. Sending you a PM for the alt also
  7. Guess I need to reword that.....sorry. I meant $500 for the subs. I will be doing the BIG 3 and getting a 170-175amp alternator most likely. Also do you think I would be ok with a 170-175 amp alternator? Will be running a Optima Yellowtop up front and a Kinetik in the back. Subs: $500 Amp: $500 Alternator: $300 Wiring: $100 Total:$1500 (Extra $100 added in just for those "in-case" items) Alternator: http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.a...mp;autoview=sku
  8. Ok so I currently run 2 JL w1 12's with a Alpine MRP-350w mono amp. Sound nice but want something that hits harder but also for around $500, might splurge though as I will be selling my box, subs, and amp. Also getting a new headunit but that won't be in the $500 budget and neither will the amp. Here is what I am thinking....... 2 Fi Q12's dual 1 ohm and maybe BP power? Thinking of a crunch p3000? Going to do the BIG 3 and get a 150-170amp alternator and do all 0 awg wires for grounds and power cables. Also what headunit for around $200? I saw a kenwood in a friends truck today that I really liked. Can't remember exactly what model but it has (3) 5v preamps, USB slot, MP3/WMA playback, and few other things.
  9. Lets put it this way..... For me to get insured on my 1989 Dodge Ramcharger it is going to be $200 a month......I am only 16 though.
  10. Sweet. I am working on getting a new system before I go to any events really. I enjoy what I have now but as with anything, always want better. Anyways I will talk to my dad and see if we can make a ride down to the show
  11. I am in Augusta/Martinez GA. Right off of I-20 around exit 190ish.
  12. I might have to take a ride down if I get my truck squared away for highway driving. Me competing would be a waste of time but would like to see what everyone else has and such.
  13. The RROD has a 3 year warranty just for the 3 flashing red lights. I had mine for 2 1/2 years and got it, sent it off and got it back fixed for free, all shipping paid!
  14. I guess I can go up to $200, anyways this is what I am looking at. http://www.autozone.com/autozone/catalog/a...&questions=[{Type0%3D[com.autozone.diy.valueobject.NavigationItem%407d0733%2C+com.autozone.diy.valueobject.NavigationItem%4063dbe3]}] They have that one in stock but have to order a yellowtop.
  15. Would a Kinetik HC1400 do ok? This will be my starting battery also though..... Or should I just get a Yellowtop then get a low end kinetik later on? Thanks for the help
  16. I have it also and LOVE it!!!! Have to get with some of you guys sometime
  17. I just have a very basic system...... Stock alternator (60amp I believe) (Will be getting a 170amp soon though) Stock wiring 2 JL 12" W1's 1 Alpine MRP 350w amp 1 Jensen 300w amp 1989 Dodge Ramcharger 2wd
  18. Ok I am looking to spend maybe $100-150 on a battery. I am replacing the battery under the hood (my only battery) and want to get something between $100-150. Optiman yellow top? Interstate? I do plan to get a rear battery down the road but before I do that I need a better alternator first. Thanks
  19. Looks sweet. When I did mine the HPI kit wasn't out yet so I did everything myself....talk about confusing, lol. Good job bud.
  20. Sweet bud keep this updated! Interested on how yours turns out. I have one that is extended about 1 3/4" with 4 wheel steering, chassis flipped, axial beadlocks and tires, but all with stock motor for now. I will dig out my pics if you are interested.
  21. I agree. I had a friend get his subs stolen out of the back of his truck right after he installed them in the automotive class, they were stolen within a week. Luckily they found the person and the subs in about 2 weeks.
  22. How about a RF P500-2 ?
  23. Also If I go with a 2 channel then I won't need to bridge my subs anymore right? I just want something that isn't going to go into protection when I turn it up and also have enough power to where if I get some better subs I might not have to get a better amp. Thanks for the help so far and in advance.
  24. $100-200. The guy I got my Alpine 350 said if I ever get rid of it that he would buy it back from me for same price I bought it from him so maybe $250ish. A friend is also looking for something to push his 2 kicker comp 12's. Same price range also. Thanks for the help.
  25. Well here is something else that I was looking at. I am only 15 and am on a budget..... http://cgi.ebay.com/KENWOOD-KAC-7204-2-CHA...93%3A1|294%3A50
