if you just add them on to the set thats already there. youll be bringing the impedance down to 2 ohms. h/u's "arent" rated for 2 ohm stability. you could run into over heating problems

That must only work for JL amps. i tried it on my sundown. I got that i needed 55 volts to get 3000rms at 1 ohm so i set it to that, but when i hooked the sub up and tested again my DMM went up closer to 80 volts. All that was changed was the sub was hooked up. same tone, same volume.

well it just turned midnight here, and nothings goin wrong with my comp yet

I think this is it, the conficker worm http://www.microsoft.com/protect/computer/.../conficker.mspx theres also a spot on the site to scan your comp for it. but we did a few computer at my house and it took 4 hours+ to do it all

How Does One Wire A Voltage Display?
fritosaregood replied to moh.vze.com's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
+ on the display to a 12 source, fuse it if you directly to the battery - on the display to the ground and turn on wire to your ignitions wire. you can splice into the ignition wire going to your h/u -
mine were bad until i added some polyfill

Just one 15, i got another on sittin here next to me, for my second hairtrick.hah Mine does heat up some, after playing full tilt for a while, but never hot hot. But I think thats what its suppose to do, the cone is like a heatsink for it. Thats wat the Audiopulse site says about it. Ive got a temp gun somewhere. ill have to see what temp it gets up to.

why? Is it two boards internally bridged?
-
Mine just showed up today. I think PE is sold out of them now

Seems like a not so smart amp design, you could do a run of 0 gauge to the amp fuse the 0 gauge. then use a distro block to make it into 2 4 gauge wires

How To Make A Box For 8, 10 Inch Subs
fritosaregood replied to davewms9605's topic in Subwoofers / Enclosures
with all 8 subs youll end up with a final load of 1 ohm. -
Dumb question, but how is Fi read. Ive always called it F.I. but i saw a vid on youtube a little bit ago and they called it "phi". Which is right?

If you plug the 4 ohm sub in the 8 ohm speaker output, over heating problems can come up What i am saying though; If the reciever allows you to directly hook up the sub to the reciever, as in a channel for sub use only, it will usually(check the manual for specs)have a lower impedence rating like 4 ohms. then it will be ok
