Hey so i used your box tuning calculator and i think i came up with a decent set up that will tune it to about 35 hz with a 4x10 aeroport im just curious as to whether you think that will be to low for what i have or if it will help a little at cuz it only cutting my box down to 2.2ft3 but reccomended is 1.75ft3 tuned at 41 hz any input would be appreciated. sorry for all the questions, im a hardcore noob but i really wanna learn.

No i too 1 1/2 inches off it to compensate for the 3/4" on each side so its internal measurements, i like low bass but thats all it can really move air with is that really low bass like in the high 20 to 30hz range. but im gonna try to block off part of the box first and see how that sounds then if all else fails ill try the port cuz im not to worried about the box cuz its only gotta last till the taxes come back lol then im throwin another 12w7 in it and having a good friend of mine build me a 3.5ft3 ported box with a common chamber tuned to around 35hz so ill give yalls ideas a shot thanks for the help, noobs can always use it.

would these ports work?

Its an autotek 1400.1 mean machine its a little much for it but i got it cheap lol and where could i get an aeroport?

Yea i was thinking about that just blocking off a portion of the box before i cut any off of ill try that and see how it works out

So when i acquired my jl 12w7 my buddy had a box for it built so he gave me that with it when i traded him and i did the measurements out on it yesterday and i used the lxhxw / 1728 to get the cubes of the box and it came out to 2.4 in a sealed box, jl reccomends 1.375 after sub displacement am i losing alot by having such a big box cuz it sounds decent for still having 8 seats in a durango but would like to go louder as i plan to put a second 12w7 in by summer but for now i was just wondering if cutting the height on my box and resealing it closer to the jl reccomendation would help any. any input on this would be great seeing as im pretty much a noob to this. thx
