  1. yes im sorry didnt mean to mislead, was just trying to explain some basics.the amp puts at more power at lower ohm loads but will have more of a draw. so you need to up the electical system (batteries ans alternators) a little bit more
  2. thank you very much, and as far as alternators and batteries are concerned, do you have your new amp in yet? if so how bads your voltage dropping? i would start with a battery in the back and go from there. a kinetic or xs power somewhwewe around 12 or 1800. deka also makes very good batteries.
  3. yea there platinum plugs. but thats not the promblem i had the factory ac delco plugs when the miss started. it ran better after changing out the plugs. and same thig to the cap. it was missing before i replaced it too
  4. an ohm is a measure of electrical resistance. soo 1 ohm is less than 4 ohms therefore has less resistance and the amp will put out more power at 1 ohm than 4

  8. ok my frieds got an oscope i might give him a call. how do i scan it wit hthe oscope? also the compression on the number 4 cyl is a liitle low . not sure exactly what it was but not as much asw it should be. thanks guys
  9. this is gunna be a long one guys. sorry ok so i have an '01 chevy blazer and i've been having some problems with it. it was running really rough and smelling like fuel so i threw my neighbers snap on scanner on it. its the red one that looks kinda like a brick. so anyway, it came up running rich on bank 1 and 2, and random multiple misfire. so i tried to take care of the misfire problem by changing the spark plugs, then the wires, then the distibuter cap (they were all the original ac delco parts with 104000 miles on um). none of that worked. helped a little but not much. so at this point i was kinda stumped. so i brought it over to goodyear to have them check it out. after about an hour and a half they call me back and say its a bad fuel injector, gunna cost around 500 between diognostic time, parts and labor. so i let him go ahead and do it. after hes done he calls me back and says the injector helped but the fuel pressure regulator is bad also and its gunna be another 200. so i was kinda pissed but i let him do it anyway. sooo $700 later the guy calls me back and goes ok the injector and the fuel pressure reg. took care of the running rich problem, but its still misfiring at the number 4 cylander. it could be that since it was running so rich there is exces fuel in the cylender that just needs to be burnt off, or if its not better in a few weeks possibly a cam. so what do you guys think? is this guy telling me the truth or he completely full of it? it is running better and starting quicker than it used to. but i still have the check engine light from the misfire and its still running pretty rough at idle.
  10. yep actually the exact same ones. there not that expensive any more may as well replace um, screw drivers arnt under warenty.
  11. super glue and duct tape! but really what kind of sub? if it looks like a plastic type of cone its just gunna grow. happened to my friends kewoods. dropped his dewalt drill on both of um! (he's a roofer so lots a tools in the back) and the crack just grew and grew. until i got my t1's then i sold him my stuff. but anyway sorry i would recone it if its worth it. unfortunaltely thats not under warrenty

  16. ok guys so i have a new computer and im having some trouble. i cant get my music from my ipod onto my new computer. i tried a google search for some quick solutions and nothing worked so far. i have an ipod classic and im using the newest version of itunes on windows vista. anyone know how to do this? thanks in advance

  19. you will see a big difference. even going from the factory 100 amp to the large case 200 amp off the bnigger gm trucks made a huge! difference in my system i've heard very good things about dc power and mechman. it will help your batteries charge and and the less drop you have the more power you have. and thats always a good thing
  20. beat you! lol, and no problem just remember. a dule voice coil woofer has 2 coils so you have to account for that when choosing wich one to use on your amp
  21. duel 2's can not be wired to 2 ohms on one amp. each coil has its own impedence. you can wire duel 2's to either 1 ohm or 4 ohm, or you can wire duel 1's to either half ohm or 2 ohm. look up the rockford wiring wizard if you need help with thid. they explsin it bette than me
  22. well i f that alpine puts out rated it should be fine, get the dule 1's and wire u to 2ohms. thats if the amp puts out rated power. like i said i never used it beore. if not a believe an audioque 1200D is only around 250 or 300
  23. hqvnt used alpine amps but arent the bls rated at 1500? or is it 1000?
