updates??? still working all good on that much power??

im running 2 of mine on a saz 2k at 2 ohms, so they are seeing 1000 watts. .7 cubes each.

just found out 5 subs will come out to .4 ohms. so that leaves me with either 4 sa8's or 2 sa12's, and the 12's come out with more cone area. so i think its better for me to just run the 2 12's at either 1 ohm or .5ohm. now how many 4" aero ports would the 2 sa12's need? ALso wonder what i should tune to as right now my 2 8's tuned to 38hz was loudest all around, even down to 30hz.

why would i run 4 8's when i could run 5 lol

jacob, will you be letting us know when you have the new spiders in for the sa8's to be ordered? i plan on ordering 5 in decemeber, but would like an update when the new spiders will be on them. thanks

well thats what i was thinking at first, but i bought it off a good friend of mine, and he charged it before he gave it to me, and resting voltage after letting my truck sit for 3 days, was still good, the resting voltage actually went up .2 adding the new battery. Also driving conditions are fine, works great, only time it dips down a lot lower is when the bass hits.

lol i know i know, but i figured this isnt to much of a loss, as it could be used for more applications. and was the cheapest solution other then selling a battery. But i could also sell the battery and still use the vcm, never know, depends on how it all plays out. but i am going against what i said a bit lol.

well i just ordered up a XS power VCM to see if that can help my problem.

it wasent in the first place, but i am planning on running my amp down under 1 ohm, next year, so i figured i might as well beef it up now, thats why i added the extra wire, and battery.

i dont care about being different really, no one around me runs sundown. also the ohms will come out to be .66 ohms, will that matter at all on the amp?

well the reason i put the 2nd run on the alt is, it didnt need to go to the front battery, i kind of wanted to cut the middle man out (the front battery) plus i already have soo much on the front battery terminal its getting pretty full. all grounds go to frame, its a 99 s10, the frame is 1 piece. there is no need for me to run a ground from the front battery to the rear, because the front battery is grounded to the frame. seems pointless to me. big 3 is already done. also in my eyes the only wire that seems pointless is the 2nd run from alt to front battery. but i have a shit load of wire sitting here and through hmm what the heck, make the flow easier. I made a thread not to long ago about this 3rd battery and a 2nd run of pos. and ppl were telling oh no do it its really worth it and what not, but i have seen 0 results of it, and like you said, the single run can handle what i have. but i did it anyways.. before i bought all this i had 2nd thoughts it wasn't going to be worth it, and it seems to be playing out to be that way. im already running 2 sa8's now, and they sound good on all music. i listen to everything, but mostly bump loud to slowed stuff from decaf and bigpimpin91 in the tunes section.

i was getting told to add another battery if i was dropping my amp down to under 1ohm. so i did. also, when there is no bass the voltage rests around 14.4. so i dont think there is anything wrong with the batteries. i could be wrong though. but i think im just going to take the battery back out. i got it for a good price so i figured why not, i didnt buy it to have to upgrade more things.

my orig plan was to run 5 SA8's, i already own 2, so i know how they preform. But im also wondering if i should do 2 sa 12's instead? they will be running off a saz2k, and im willing to run down to .5ohm daily or at 1 ohm. these will be in a s10 ext cab. running 4" aero ports. i know its hard to figure out what would be better, just need some more help deciding. I listen to mostly just music off the tunez section, low bangers.

so i just added a 3rd battery to my set up, so i have an odyssey 1500 up front, odyssey 2150 in the back, and just added a northstar NSB75 in the back. I have a 220amp alt, 2 runs from alt to front batt, 1 run front to back, 1 run from alt to back batt, 1 run from rear batt to rear batt, all grounds to frame. running a saz 2k at 2 ohms, and a sax 125.2. Now before i added the 3rd battery the NSB 75, i had not bad voltage drop, maybe 4 volts max full tilt. now with the NSB75 in the mix, i get even worse voltage drop. thats when i added the 2nd run from alt to front batt, and the run from alt to rear batt, still didnt change anything, im ready to pull it back out, as it seems like it was a big waste of time and money adding a 3rd battery. why is all this happening? i thought it would have gotten better.

that is one big 10!!! i would like to see the break in on them you do, looks like it would have some good throw on it also post T/S specs when done

already seen that picture, but if you look there is no measurement for how tall it is on the back side, when punching these numbers in, and trying different heights for the back i dont get any where close to 32 hz, more like 38-40hz.

is that your box in the thread? ive had the box saved on my comp for a while and was going to build the same box, but you didnt post how tall it was in the dimensions in the pics lol, do you have any idea? i still may try to build this box
