I'm really digging some of the CHP tracks. But where the heck can I purchase or download them?

I want to check if my compressor works before I cram it full of freon, but the plug running to it has three prongs, not two...Anyone know which two I use to kick the compressor? Vehicle is a 1996 Pontiac Grand Prix 4-door, 3.1L V6.

I have heard reports of fatmat peeling off in some cases, but I have also heard that if you install it properly and heatgun it to the surface that it won't be a problem.

Im not on the highway too much, so I guess it's kinda useless. Some of the state and county hiways I use are radar-patrolled though, so...Idunno. Plus, I need to figure out a new mounting idea; mine didn't come with any hardware, so its just slapped on my dash sliding around...not good. I can't find a spot where its NOT pointing down at my wipers.

I think the one I have is a 1730...anyone know if it's any good? I've only gotten a couple alerts through it, but then again, I haven't had any missed ones. I don't think the city mode does anything though; theres a few intersections it freaks out at with city on or off.

So my brother finally cleaned all his crap outta our garage, and one of the things he found was a radar detector. I promptly hid it, and later hooked it up and found it to be working. It's a cheap crappy one I think: Whistler and some number...7500 maybe? Anyhow, I couldn't find anything to mount it with or any instructions. Anyone got any clues about it? Is it dog shit? Is it decent? I usually spot cops from a distance so its more of a backup, but is it worth using?

I used download helper to pick up a couple videos I am always talking about on Youtube. I would like to put them on my iPod so people don't look at me like i'm stupid when I talk about stuff. How can I transfer the vid (which saved in .flv format) into iTunes? What format do I need?

Not buying HID's for this car, not worth the expense. I was considering getting whiter heads for it for appearance's sake, but if they are not worth the extra money I will just buy stock replacement.

I'm going to buy new headlights for my 'Prix, but I can't stand yellow. I was looking at bright-whites or maybe the 'xenon-look' bulbs some companies have come out with (i think Sylvania makes some). Anyone ever use these? What do you think of them?

Double check your tinsels, set the DMM probes on them, see if that works. If so, maybe bad terminals. If not, maybe it was dead in box and you didn't notice it. Just a possibility. Was it stored in the enclosure? If not, maybe something hit it and broke the coil...

My all-time favorite was Sport Compact Car (RIP); they taught you how to do things and why they worked, including a huge spread over a few issues on how engines actually operated, and similar ones on suspension geometry, aerodynamics, and octane. After that, Hot Rod, Car Craft, and the Turbo & Hi-Tech Performance. EDIT: Apparently the rumor saying Turbo was dead is false.

Nevermind that the majority of Pontiacs had Chevy counterparts...that were just as bad as the Poncho's...

x2, specially the ones with the LS2. Who cares if they look like bloated Cavaliers, those things HAUL. My buddy had an LS1 one with full exhaust and a 75-shot, man oh man, that sound.
