  2. Ok thanks SQ and everyone else for all your help, i think he will be happy at least for right now cause i know later on hes gonna want to go bigger!!!Peace!! Oh, SQ, yeah, hes got the dual 4 subs!!
  3. So with that box and the aq1200d would be a nice matchup? its going in a 02 monte. also, does the aq1200 take 1/0? dont know if this was answered, hes running all 1/0
  4. Thanks for that info, ill show him! Thats a little ass ported box! i guess thats the way they designed it i guess (1.3cft, 2.6 total for 2)!!
  5. Thanks SQ, anyone else care for any input? he already ordered his aq and wants the needed info so he can get started.
  6. A buddy of mine wants to know if his 2-type r 12's can slam on a aq1200d without blowing up? also, he wants to know whats the biggest ported box he should run and if the aq1200d can take 1/0. he's seen that their prices dropped!
  7. Yeah, i had to catch that one! LOL!!
  8. Hes saying the AQ1200 now is $229 and the AQ2200 is $349, etc.. Which is DAMN good!!!
  9. Hey, my layout has changed. So when i look at a topic or member build, everythings at the bottom of the page and i have to click on every last post to see the next page and its a bit of a headache while before all i had to do was click on the next page. whats up with this?
  10. Yeah i thought about that too, but would i have enuff air space for two AQ 18's with a half wall? And thanks alot fellas for your input!! But would this half wall work?
  11. Of all the cooking shows, Pinks All Out, Home Shopping, Tool Academy, you would think SMD should be on the air somewhere!! Id swear Id watch it over and over!! You should be on the learning channel or Spike man!!!
  12. Daily Bump!! Help me PLLLLEEEEAAAASSSSEEE!
  13. Im tuned in!!!! Oh, and welcome to SMD, cant wait to see her finished. Great job so far!!!!
  14. I had a Pioneer do that on me one time. It was playing fine for a long time just pushing 2-12's and an amp. then one day, i start my car up and i got this loud whine and my subs sounded ugly as hell. I tried everything and even took it to a stereo shop and paid a $40 diagnostic and found out my preamp output on my H/U took a shit! Bought a new H/U and wala, Bump back in the trunk and actually sounded twice as better!!
  15. I understand where u coming from, but the air i want to move, it wont come from the RE's i already have. And someone building me a wall is not in my income level!! But, if i took my time i THINK i could manage and no, i have only built like two boxes in my lifetime, but i want to give it a shot! How can i get this project started.? Please help a brother out. Im looking at the AQ 18's cause thyre very affordable!!
  16. BUMP for a fellow SMD member
  17. Question, im looking to do a project soon, i had a thread on here before about putting some 18's in a trunk and alot of guys suggested me do a wall. I have never attempted such a huge feat and quite frankly, scared to! But, on the other hand i could actually do it. Can anyone point me in the right direction on what materials i would need? Some decent 18's (used or new) and how do i go by designing a wall? its a 2002 pontiac grand prix! and maybe 2-18 inch Fi's. I looked on these threads and boy, its a lot of work to wall some subs. Does anybody charge to design me a wall with a cut sheet? and how much. I never done anything like this and definately cant afford for someone to do it for me!! But, i want to give it a shot. Also does anybody else make 18's besides Fi and Sundown which they are reasonably priced?
  18. Im looking for another Sundown saz-2000d or something close and whose willing to do a payment plan!!! Or maybe some good 18's around 500 bucks/pair for a payment plan!
  19. Now thats great information!!!Thanks alot...
  20. Thanks for the great help. I loovvveee this site!!! I ll let him know!!!
  21. Ok thanks fellas on the big "3" it can get confusing sometimes. Well, i still need to find out the bat question. Can he mix and match bats? (wet-front, dry-back)? He has a regular bat up front and wants a second for rear, hes not putting a huge system just a crunch P1500.1. hes on a tight budget, like $50-$100
  22. Yeah, i understand that, but if his amps wont take nothing bigger than 4 ga, how can he upgrade? His stock wire is 4-ga too. He has a 1999 Olds Intrigue
  23. He has a cheap deck, a jensen 7" touchscreen dvd and we think thats whats causing all the riff raff so he's going to replace it with a pioneer and all new rca's, the ones he got are like the cheapest you can get and i dont even think theyre name brand. So, new deck and rca's and we'll see. Thanks fellas!!!
  24. Question.. Im learning cool stuff off here everyday and was wondering...I see alot of ppl including me, do the big 3 in 0-ga wire. My buddy wants to do his but his amps wont take 0-ga wire. He has a Crunch P1500.1 and a Crunch P900.4 and the biggest they will take is a 4 gauge. Does he have to do the "3" in 0-ga or can he do it with 4-ga. Also hes running a stock alt and a stock bat and wants to get a 2nd bat for the rear but hes on a strict budget. Can he use a standard bat for rear? Or can he mix and match (wet-front, dry back)?
