  1. I was led to believe otherwise, but it doesn't really make a difference to me either way anyway, I was offered some at good prices and chose to pass. Nice amps, just not in the market at the moment.
  2. Not sure who you are, but thats one of my teammates, TJ. Dustcaps are inverted. Amps are technically not available here, and thats all I can say.
  3. Did a New England SPL show yesterday and took 1st in my class (Stock 2) with a 149.7 legal on TL. Closest competitor was a 147.4 with two memphis mojo 12's. In case you don't remember I'm running one Level 4XL 15 with 2 RF T1000's strapped. Team Xtreme Loud Audio/ DC took a total of (4) 1st places and a few 2nd's. Show was in Weymouth, MA and had a good turnout. Hot humid weather, which kills my voltage, kept me from my first legal 150 but pretty happy with my number anyway. I didn't take any pics at all, but maybe when some get posted to the website I'll put them up here.
  4. Hey Rob, what model are you waitin' on? Try not to get much louder in Street C...lol. I'm coming for ya in Auburn
  5. They are well worth every penny My single Level 4 XL 15 (with the right box of coarse) crushes most dual 15 setups. The build quality is the best I've ever seen and customer service is right there too. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. BTW...I am using it sealed in 3.8ft3 while I build my new port for my SPL setup and the SQ is great!!
  6. Congrats! Nice job. Of coarse I'd love to see pics of the setups and scores if you could too
  7. This box is too long for that so no, but I have tried it with a different style box and it was down a little.
  8. IIRC port area is 64sq inches. Tuning is at 52hz. I have been running this for daily as well as competition. I rewired sub to be 4ohms (series dual 2) and it is actually pretty damn musical like this. When I have it at 1ohm my two RF T1000's are strapped into it (each "seeing" .5ohm) and it has crazy power but definitely doesn't sound as good. As far as what tricks I use: driver seat vertical and forward all the way, passenger seat folded forward touching dash, back seats folded flat, and passenger visor down. Also someone holding hatchback glass. Those are the only things that help my score in my truck...and I've tested almost everything. Just want to add for anyone who hasn't heard the Level 4XL's....they really are a kickass sub all the way around. Loud as hell and clean. Hoping to add a second one sometime in the near future, then it's on :hairtrick:
  9. Thanks for all the responses I do love the reactions I get to this crazy design...I especially like that it works and looks cool
  10. At the New England SPL show on Sunday May 10, 2009 I took 1st in Stock 2 class with a 149.2 (legal, dash, TL) and my team mate Mike took 1st in Stock 1 with a 143.9. I'm using 1 DC Level 4XL 15 and he is using a DC level 5 12 (Atomic APX rebuild with DC coil and soft parts). On with the pics...
  11. 149.2 legal today at New England Spl event in Tewksbury, Mass. 1st place by a lot with no good competition. Also won Slammin Bass which is an average score over 30 seconds on music. Another nice win for Team Xtreme Loud Audio and Team DC!
  12. This is a post for anyone in the Northeast (or anyone who loves to drive really far...lol) This is the 2009 NESPL Season Opener being held at Audio Werks of Tewksbury. Registration begins at 11am on Sunday May 10th. Audio Werks 2111 Main St (Rte 38) Tewksbury Ma, 01876 Approx 6.7 miles from Rte 128/95 Trophies will be handed out for 1st thru 3rd places in the SPL Classes. New England SPL shows are setup very similar to DB Drag and always run smoothly. Usually good turnout too! Here is a link to the website so you can check it out! New England SPL Website here... Hope to see some of you there!
  13. With 2 in a CR-V and a good design you could probably see 153-155 in the kick with that power, but it certainly depends on matching the right design to the specific vehicle. So far I have tried about every layout of sub and port imaginable and this has proven to be the best that I have come up with, but I'm far from finished trying... Nice to see a fellow ICIX'r over here I will also have a legal (dash score on the TL) to share with you all next weekend since I have an NESPL competition on the 10th
  14. BTW, I'm really curious about how this sounds when you get it going. I love my LVL4 XL15 but I've only tried it in my SPL box so far. Seems like it would be a serious groundpounder in a lower tuned box. Hope you share your listening impressions with us
  15. The Power Elite (Big silver focker) not the smaller black one that just came out. My understanding is that the newest ones (the black ones) aren't as capable. Every RF I've owned over the past 10 years (I think I've owned 10 different ones)has been able to play below the rated load (lower impedance)without a problem.
  16. It's proven by me everyday and in SPL competitions...The T1000 has 2 modes of protection for low impedance: "soft protect" and "hard protect". In soft protect it will just limit its power output while it thinks the resistance is dangerously low and hard protect will momentarily shut off all output when it thinks its short circuiting from ultra-low impedance. I have been running 2 of these amps at .5ohms each (1 ohm load, strapped pair) for over a year with zero problems, so you'd be just fine.
  17. I didn't mean 1 or 2 ohms... I meant .5 ohms. If your electrical can handle it you should see around 2kw at .5ohms (both your coils in parallel)
  18. Dug up one of the truck for you too and a link to results page here
  19. To answer questions: Box is tuned to 52hz, its in a 2005 Hyundai Tuscon. Because you're all pic whores, here you go That is the truck and the box shown unfinished (as it is at the moment) with the Orion HCCA15.2 that I was using while I waited for my DC to be built. I wouldn't say that its the most musical box ever (lol) but not a crappy fart box either. Thanks for all the positive comments!
  20. Just wanted to share results from my first USACi competition with my new DC Audio Level 4XL15. This is one helluva sub...I did a 152.4 on the TL (kickpanel) with a single 15" in the cargo area powered by my 2 RF T1000's. This was in the stock 601-1800w class. Closest competitor did a 150.0 with 2 memphis 15's off 2 Powerbass 1000's. Same style vehicle (small/midsize suv). Rusty, thanks again man, you build some beefy subs!
  21. Your T1000 can do 1/2ohm, regardless of what RF tells you Trust me, I have 2 of them strapped into 1ohm...the only downside is they will protect under extreme circumstances, but I doubt that you'll encounter that unless you are doing SPL competitions and even then it can be avoided with a volume roll. It's probably more power than you need for that box, but use it wisely and you'll be okay.
