I was thinking about running 1 12xl in my civic but your sub makes me think maybe 1 15.....lol What is your box size?It sucks my trunk height is only 16" so i would prolly have to do a hatch style box. -

Just got done installing the tweets and god does it sound better.....

Something similar hapen to me a couple years back, 2 guys tried to break into my house and they didnt get in but they got caught and both of them received 2yrs for home invasion(felony). Now the 1 is out for good behavior and the sad thing is that the lil shit lives in my subdivision and i get to see him everytime i drive through my sub and cant do shit. I know when this happened the officer told me that i can use deadly force if my family is in possible danger from someone trying to get into my home, im in michigan so im not sure in other states.

I just watched the vids and man!! I hope the carolla holds up...lol And does the 9500 mix well with the 5500's?

Is there some kind of switch for my crossover to make it adjustable or is it an totally different crossover that i would have to buy?
-
Ok so should i just take my say passenger side front door speaker out, unplug the wires from terminal cut the connectors off and then just take my tweet wires and twist pos to pos neg to neg, put new connectors on, plug them back into the door speaker reinstall and then im done? God i feel like such a noob right now....lol
-
I took a pic of it,
-
Ok thats prolly what i will do, thanks for the info.
-
There is 2 wires coming in the cap and 2 going out,so just put them close to the tweet when i install them?
-
So you think i should just try them like this and if its not what i like then just maybe put them on there own lil amp,so i would have the ability to tune them?
-
Im using a kenwood excelon x40 and the crossovers they provide are non adjustable, they are basically like inline crossovers. The TX1000 25 mm tweeter pair features an 18 dB high-pass crossover.
-
They came with the crossovers,Yes my amp is 2ohm stable,I got them because i couldn't beat the deal(40 brand new)plus yes i am kinda lacking the tweet up front since i am not using the stock ones in my dash.I was asking about running them off the radio but i just dont think the radio will run them(they are 50rms each). So you think just parallel them with the front speakers?

I would say the cvx for the money. -
I have 1 cvx 12 ported at 33hz with a 3.8 cube gross box and it is SLAMMIN for just 1 sub, but will prolly build a lil smaller box soon though, kicker recommends a max ported box to be 2.25. Good luck and keep us updated.......

I just bought a set of mtx tx1000 tweets and want to add them to the front of my civic but i am trying to figure out if i should run them off my alpine 9884 or combine them with my 6.5 alpine type-r coax's? I have a kenwood excelon 4 channel running my doors and rears, i have never ran a set of tweets before so i am trying to figure out if i want to run them with my 6.5's how can i do this?6 speakers on a 4 channel amp, any help would be appreciated. Im trying not to have to rewire any of the car. Thanks, Lonny.
