  1. Good guy here, bought some speakers and paid fast, no messing around.
  2. Can we get some real world efficiency numbers? Efficiency : 86% @ 4 ohm, at 100Hz Lets be honest, no one here is going to buy an amp of this size and run it at 4ohm and at 100hz. Thats why I think CEA ratings are bullshit. Anyways, question still stands.
  3. I came into this thread expecting to see a box with like 8 baffles on it. Dont ask why.
  4. PM me if you still need wire.
  5. Have 50ft of 12ga, PM me what your willing to pay.
  6. I said I can do it, doesnt mean I start my truck up everyday, unhook the battery and go cruise around town. I got 4 batts in the truck now, and a HO alt, Im not worried about my alt. Im still trying to figure out how, if Im beating on my system, I drain the batts down, because I dont have enough alt to run the power, so the batts have a low charge, then I turn the system down, and my alt isnt supposed to charge my batteries. You guys make no sense at all. Im well aware they dont have a flat charging curve, lets say my alt does 160amps at idle, it takes roughly 60amps to run the truck, so where does the other 100 amps go? 100 amps into a battery bank is roughly 25amps per battery of charging time, so that isnt a trickle charge, sounds like a hot charge to me. Oh wait, I used the term charge, 25amp "maintain".
  7. www.downlowcaraudio.com If its not on the site, just shoot me a PM and I will get it for you guys. Use coupon code "SMDLOVE" for 5% off
  8. I can unhook my battery once the truck is running, turn my AC on full blast, my high beams on, and pretty much do everything besides crank the system. Sounds like running the car to me.
  9. if alts dont like to refuel them, then wtf are they there for besides running the car?
  10. I know this is for bags and stuff, but I currently have a train horn on my truck, with a 120psi compressor, and a 4.5 gallon tank. I was wondering what fitting I would need to give me a 1/2 or whatever size it so I could hookup a standard air hose to like, lets say fill a tire or something like that. I have PLENTY of battery power so if it means running the compressor for a while, its still better than being stuck on the road with a flat and nothing to do about it. Thanks.
  11. 47 bucks after shipping, to me anyways. But yea, for what they are, their great for the money, but you cant really compare them to an 80 or 90 dollar set of comps
  12. I run that site.... And sell and install alot of those Powerbass 6.5s. I run 8 of their 4XL 6.5s in my doors, 4 in each door. For the price to performance, their really, really hard to beat. If those arent what your looking for, then by all means, keep looking.
  13. www.downlowcaraudio.com Powerbass s Series are under 50 bucks
  14. your never on aim to shoot the shit, but always creepin in the forums
  15. Ive tried 2 diff grounds for the EQ. I should add that with the ipod into the amps, theres no engine noise, if I put the stinger ground loop isloator inline with the ipod, engine noise is back. Yes, hopefully will have my headunit back in a week or so.
  16. bought my Orion HCCA 15.4 from me, good guy, quick payment, no bs.
  17. So I bypassed the EQ(my HU is in for repair right now sooo), and the engine noise stops completely. If I unplug my Ipod, and have the RCA's just hanging out of my dash, theres engine noise, but as soon as I plug something in, engine noise is gone. Now, should I RMA my EQ, or do you guys not think the EQ is at fault?
  18. Also heard Kinetik got bought out by another battery company.
  19. Ok, Let me explain this as best as I can. I have 2 4 channels, both mounted to my amp rack, I have them on 2 distro blocks for power and ground(1/0in and 2 4ga out) I have engine whine pretty bad, and have tried almost every trick in the book. First off, I am not running a headunit right now, just iPod into the EQ. The amps are grounded roughly 3ft directly to my 2nd battery. The EQ is grounded the to chassis If I unplug the RCA's out of the amps, the engine noise stops I have tried a new set of RCA's, notta Power and RCA's are ran on the opposite sides of the truck I purchased a Stinger ground loop isolator from Darvex, still there and noticeable. Now, in all reality, Im sure the engine noise isnt that bad, but when you have 8 pro audio style 6.5s, everything's loud. I can drown it out by cranking it up really high, but In my mind its still there. I also have a train horn installed, and when the compressor kicks on, I can hear that through my speakers also(compressor is grounded to the frame of the truck.) Any other ideas?
