  1. A decent product brochure does well for the shims the front and back pages are usually thick then the center pages are thin. readily availible and free.
  2. Seen it done and done it a couple times. Cresendo 2k @.5 clamping around 1700+ coils never had a melt down. customer could wqrm them to smell a little but he was smart enough to turn it down then.
  3. were working on becoming a dealer at my shop this thread made me push sundown to the boss hard. just waiting on email to set everything up, i cant wait.
  4. in a tahoe sub up port back. Cj the customer was in yesterday and trust me if this is loud enough for him he wont have a problem adding more power. if the 9k was availible there would probably be 2 of those going in. maybe another 12k in the future? (who knows)
  5. we got our xl18's 12k and 175.4 today pics tomorrow. initial impression badass.
  6. is all that going into the CRX? or is that for another build for a customer? nah thats for the tahoe we had in the last bay last time you came by i think it was there.
  7. I got batteries wire alts in today second skin almost done, just waiting on the 4 xlm2 18 and a 12k to match. all i know is it wont be long now.....
  8. A clean clamped 1500 watts to a upgraded lvl4 (5 soft parts) after that your making extra heat. no upgrade 1000-1200 the single tinsel leads will probably be the fist thing to go if you start adding more power. recobe to a dual1 and run the quart amp at .5 ohm scope it clean and watch what that sub can really do. if your wired to 1ohm now your actual piwer is probably in the 700-800 watt range
  9. I have a few spanish customers that really like using these to help the spanish music actually make sub bass.Is there any issues or anything that i should do different or know when setting up an epicenter in the "mix"
  10. the deal i got from rusty was on the 10 playing below tuning with lots of power (ie.thor) the surrounds were ripping so with the ar they made it so the cone and spiders will bottom out and the surround still has some "give". which in turn keeps ya from tearing up surrounds
  11. That's one of those gallon acetone cans. Thanks I was messing around with my Photobucket and figured id post up some stuff.
  12. a not so great vid of the 4 lvl4 15's there on only 1 3500 with not so great electrical.
  13. The at cone 10" lvl 3 looks real nice. I have pics I will post tomorrow.
  14. Just saw a fresh set of lvl5 18 and they had the same reinforced soft surround so I'm guess they switched to that style all together.
  15. i can take a quick pic of the lvl3 10 hard to visually see much difference in the cone but the surround is definatly different. will post as soon as i can.
  16. if it has the AR cone and surround setup then yes its a new surrond tooling all together and cone that is US made. As for the standard surronds that they are shipping i cannot comment as all the stuff i order now i get the AR cone but all of my last couple have been 10's. I know you can bottom the suspension out and still have some travel left in the surround. Ment to be sort of a Thor proof setup?
  17. just did a escalade and it didnt like more than 16.7 either and that was an 02
  18. I just clamped a cresendo 2k on a lvl3w 4 soft parts and depending on hz its seeing between 700ish-almost1200 watts. keep it clean and shell love you long time!
  19. its a 5.4 and he got a e-bay turbo kit so he has only about 2500 in it after getting all the additional stuff he needed, foor reference the STS kit is 7k. and yes for the moment the intercooler was held in place by zip ties (the charge pipes actually hold it in place) we ran out of time and material to fab a bracket he is driving the truck back to FL. where he works as a welder so he will finish brackets and an actual charge pipe tube instead of the hacked up k&n.keep in mind this was a completly stock motor on the 2nd and it was running on the 5th with only the shop hours to work on it so some things were "rigged" to make sure he could get back to work in time or else he gets fired. he left here a 4am with the truck this morn with no problems made it 6-7hrs into FL somewhere, he will have it tuned on the 39# injectors while hes there and finish the last brackets and such.
