yeah i know did 2 18's on an 8k thats the same thing rusty said though.what i really need is a amp i can sell to the customer that will be in the $1000-$1200 mark other wise we will starap the two amps.

ok so i got another customer going DC in an avalanche doing 2 15's but im unsure if i should have him go with built lvl 4's or reg xl's we should see about 2k using two 2200 watt amps strapped at 1ohm to each speaker guy kinda wants xl's cuz there bad ass but doesnt have the money for more power really. so im open to suggestions if i could get my hands on two 3k DC amps i would be stoked but i heard they were all out?guess ill call rusty

finished customers truck today with a lvl4 w/5 coil 1med 1stiff spider thank you rusty worked great with the power about 1.5krms needs to break in a bit.customer said tune it low so i did put sub in 6 cubes 90sq. in port and final tuning came in around 31.5hz. Frist impression is man this guy need some dynamat or something cuz that roof is almost annoying it flexin and making some much noise.I kinda feel that it could take a little more power but thats about all his electrical and the amp could do cleanly but he will be adding more very soon i believe.so over all im very happy with the out come on just that much power

dont be a puss run as much power as you can to those things enough suspension and a good box they handle damn near what ever you got. i run a SD8k to a pair of xls had four stiff spiders and handled it great till i clipped the crap out of them now run six spiders and they love every watt they can get

the 18xl's get crazy on the low end as long as they are tuned under 35hz but man they do it with tons of output just put enough spiders in them to accomadate whatever power you plan on giving it but even stock will hold alot more than you might think as long as its clean but somthing around 3-4k per sub gets real nasty and will shake shit apart

yup they wont have any problem as long as you dont get greedy with the gain and build a stupid strong box.tune it low and watch it tear the car to pieces.

i have heard a few good things about B2 but there amps are pretty big stetsom is solid im sure they will get whatever problem if any you are having worked out

almost blow or blow is two different things im not saying they are bullit proof nothing at that powr level is but none the less strong amps only delt with one personally but havent the slightest prob. from it.

i can honestly say i didnt but since you say that im guessing they had problems?if so what happened?

if your having stetsom problems maybe look at the SD12k @16volts or maybe a 16k even

ok so im cleaning a basket for recone and my dumb ass hit the terminal hard enough to break off the tinsel lead side so i figured i would try and put it back together but then thought why not just make direct 8ga. leads to the tinsels? im guessing they come with push terminals for convience and shouldnt have a problem going to a direct connection. if anyone knows of problems i may have in doing so please let me know.

where are the big power vids at its been 2 days almost im sure im not the only one waitin?

nope its for a daily thats more of a parking lot pimper so to speak.hes a pretty big local DJ so he had to have a good bit noise he is doing good so far and he is more than happy. i actually want to get back in it to tune it a bit more i didnt get much time with it when i originally finished and didnt have a good selection of music so i dont even know how low she will go yet so i gotta get him by the shop for a final tuch up soon.(and add a bit more power to)

that 2 subs on the amp

SWEET I WAS THINKING SHOE GOO MYSELF.in 10 cubes they should be able to handle most everything the 8k has to offer yeah? its a suburban subs up port back and how long on the low power break in i figured he could kkep it over the weekend then come tuesday let it rip pretty hard?

So after a week or so of building boxes and panels blah blah blah i fire this thing off with a SD8000.1 of course started with 0 gain and noticed a bit of noise from the cap but kinda disregarded it and with in a few seconds it was hanging on by a thread so i guess i need to know what kinda glue to put on this thing so it stays in place. As far as the sound and volume im happy with it considering we added an extra spider to the 184xl's and they arent broke in by any means so i look foward to getting some gain in this thing to really see what it can do.

old boys explorer does bang preety good in his vids. right now hes prob. doing about a 155 on an AC but he wants more of course and this will be a wall of course but he wants to keep it in the back behind the seat 250amp alt adj. reg. and as many batts. that would be needed are do-able.i think hes leaning toward sthe 4 15's but i dont think he will bite on the price difference of the 4xl t o the lvl5. but like most customers he wants it to be as loud as possible for as little as possible

so i got a guy doing 2xl18's and the SD8k was gonna go walled behind 3rd row but finally convinced him to go subs up port back. Just wondering im sure ther are some people experienced with this kinda set up what would work well or if somone has a box sheet i could get if i could ever be so lucky ,if not ill get out the old pencil and paper ang get to work. Also thinking aero ports just dont know how many i will need and of what size

dont htink i gor room for 4 18's with port and subs itll be tight with just 3 or even the 4 15's the 3 18's ar a tick more cone area also doing the build on the suburban finally waitin on wood right now as i type but interested in the port size if some would like to input on that as well.im lookin at 10.5^3 with a port 24"*7*23" deep should be about 35hz. 2 xl18's with a SD8k for mega power :hairtrick: got 4stiff spiders two let me know

ok just wowed my customer with his own SD8k hes been waitin on for 2 months and now i got another customer wantin some dc's to replace his 4 13w7 it is going behind the back seat in a caprice wagon we have about 14 cubes between the boxes in there now and could prob get a few more im thinkin about 17-18 total max int. we are thinking about a few different setups he is currently running mojo 4 mcd2000 and will eventually get a SD12k either 4xl15's or 3xl18's we have about 40" wide and 32" tall and would appreciate your input or ideas he want to see 155+ on music tl meter

that planet audio is there entry lvl amp set they do ok for cheap stuff but i dont think they put out full rated power by a few hundred watts but we have sold quite a few and havent had any come back at all

so i got the first of 2 18's in the other day for a customer and figured i might as well set it up front so other customers can ask about and see that its no joke. most every one is pretty impressed especially the fact that i could probably have my one year ole stand on the cone with out it budging (4 hard spideys) anyhow we all know its a pretty sick sub. but of course you always have that one know it all guy that stops by the shop every so often and of course hes the man cuz he says he did 58's on one crossfire sub way back in the day but anyhow he looks at the sub and eventually makes his way to the back of the shop and says huh DC i never heard of it and of course i had to give him the "man finally something you dont know" so he gets a bit shocked and start to of course prtend like its a just a sub with a foam surrond and a paper cone with crap tinsle leads and push terminals and states he was gonna shoe me some crossfire sub that is god or something. so what i need from you guys is a very educated answer to his b.s remarks so i can actually prove to him hes a dummy. this is same guy that swears there are only 3 ampbuild houses in the world hahahah god what a duche bag :censored:
