  1. Thors Hammer from DC Soundlab has a Grand Prix that I'm pretty sure did 153's.
  2. I built an IASCA rookie setup for my friends Pontiac GXP with a 13W7 and a Diablo HF1000. He hit a 144.3 with the door open on a test tone. With the right box, you could get a 145-146 without to much trouble.
  3. Of course this starts the season that I don't need points to qualify for the finals. I made 8 shows last season... But I don't know if that will top the Northeast. Do 3X events count as 3 shows? LOL.
  4. Neil was having some trouble with the new Addictive Audio amps. I think it's all figured out now, but the timing wasn't so good. Thats why I made sure I wasn't still working on my system in the paarking lot (well at least not to much)
  5. Awesome perspective Thor. I had such a great time running against a fellow DC'r. Yeah, James has ALOT more power than me. That second round I thought it was over. He got me in the third by quite a bit... Thanks to your Gorilla tape quick fix. Unbelieveable subs to play that strong after the repairs. Burping 14K on a subs is WAY different than playing music for 1 1/2 minutes. Less can bemore sometimes since we can only run 2 batts in Flyweight. Thanks for the vids Thor!
  6. Nice pics dude! It was cool meeting you and James. I had a blast. Hope to see you guys at another show soon.
  7. Yeah Yeah Shaine... Mr. Mcconnell with a INAC Rookie 1 Championship nailing a 142.8dB running a gorgeous Diablo Audio Technologies 1000.1 and kicking ass/taking names. BTW I think we need to make a good flat response box and you need to become a 139.9 machine.
  8. I only know some of the results. Stock 1 Dwayne Morgan - IDBL 155.5 backed by a 155.9 to set a new world record SBN Flyweight EBB - Me, Dustin Remsen with a 148.4 3 round average. INAC Flyweight EBB - Me, Dustin Remsen with a 148.66 3 round average. INAC Heavyweight EBB - Pipo Sanchez with a 159.9 3 round average. Extreme whatever Craig Butler is in. 182.4 backed with a 182.6 to set a new world record. I don't remember anymore off the top of my head. I was to focused on my own runs.
  9. Thanks Joe. I've come a long way this season. I would have a list a page long of people to thank and your one of them. I picked so many brains... Built so many boxes... Damn. It's hard to believe I took home the belt. Shaine post a pic of me with the belt.
  10. Thanks for the Vids Shaine. I need to get some more mids and highs outside for next year. Didn't really expect to make it to the finals, I guess I didn't think I needed more on the outside of the ride. James was an awesome competitor, I had a great time during the INAC run except for all the butterflies. Just a little over .2 dB's separated us at the end. Incredible considering the state of James subs. I hope to see him there again next year with some "untaped" subs. It was great to meet Thors hammer and James, they are great guys. And thanks Rusty for making some badass subs!!!
  11. Looks good. Nice and shiny, I can see your shoes reflecting off the box.
  12. He words things this way to get you to keep listening. Just like TV viewers, the more listeners he has, the more money he can make. He is very intelligent and very well educated (I believe he is a doctor of something) and I would say I agree with 50% or more of what he says. Leftist is a term usually used towards extreme liberals, which talk radio is associates with democrats. Most of talk radio refers to dems as "lefties". To decide if he is right or a wacko, just keep listening for awhile and then decide how much you really agree.
  13. It's trial and error. I got a Civic SI hatch with subs up port up tuned to 40 hz. Two DC level 4 10's, and hit 144.3 on a tone and 142.0 on music. But I'm gonna rebuild and try for more. Tuning higher can give a little more SPL in a small hatch but won't usually sound as good on music.
  14. I'm new to the forum, but have some experience with box building. For SPL, 1.5 cubes with a 35 square inch port tuned to 40hz. If you want more quality, 1.25 cubes with about a 25 inch surface port, tuned to about 33hz. Build it rigid. 3/4 MDF and 1" for the baffle. PM me if you have questions.
  15. It was a TL at an IASCA event. Running a USAmps MD2D on 2 level 4 10's in a slot ported box.
  16. Not bad, I put up a 144.3 the other day with 2 level 4 10's.
