i just got a new car and im ready to start my next build im currently looking for a new HU i really like the Alpine digital media receivers (i dont listen to cds much) i dont want to spend more than 275 probably i would like to have video but for my budget i dont think that will happen i am open to other brands any suggestions? thanks

ive seen them before and they were free from crutchfield when you order a radio from them but i dont know if they still do that

thanks guys im not sure on the stetsom amps but i think they only have 1 input but i may be wrong on the 11k

this is probably a huge noob question but i was just looking at the stetsom website and the 11k2d draws like 1100 amps how do you wire/fuse something with that much current draw without frying something? thanks guys

the actual website is fixmyspeaker.com they are great they quoted me for my 2 18s to rebuild them to 10s and handle 2500rms for 210 per speaker

i had my hifonics on .5 ohm daily on nothing but a ghetto big 3 for a couple months and it was fine but i never played it full tilt very long at all cause i was getting down to 9-10 volt drops but the amp is fine still works perfectly

he was going to say that 1.4 ohm coil is a 2 ohm coil besides the resistance changes depending on the box what its tuned to and what frequency it being played

if your HU is not putting out more than 1 volt you should be fine you usually cant hear minor clipping but again it all depends on the output voltage of the HU

i took my desktop to bestbuy and it was about 50-60 i want to say... they didnt fix anything though they just did i diag and i fixed it myself

check the wires like someone said before thats what it sounds like to me im no pro though if you cant figure it out its best to take it somewhere and tell them the problems youre having

well where is the folder how big is the folder if the folder isnt taking up that much space and your computer isnt crashing or anything leave it but if that one folder is like a gb of more id say delete it depending on the location

all pos together and all neg together and if you have the money or the wire you would run multiple pos and neg runs from front to back if not then it is ok to just ground the back batts to the frame in the rear

if you open the files that you described with just letters and numbers that is because they are not meant to be opened that are program language and notepad is the default when you open things like that i would just delete the whole file if there is no personal information there
