  1. According to the person that I talked to, it was never meant to be sealed up it was meant to play open but hey how many other truck do you see that can do a hair trick with both front doors open with only two subs and 14000 watts to the subs
  2. So im driven home from work and i start thinkin about the last dbdrag event i went to and then I thought what about Chicken's Caddy vs Tommy "King of Bass" Mckinney's Nissian in bass race or bass boxing. I would pay to see that anybody else with me on this one.
  3. no it will not i ran eights in the rolla while i was doing db drag last year and nobody said anything you should be fine oh and by the way that truck is louder than meades tahoe ive sat in it will do a 158 with both front doors open on the termlab at around 30 to 32 hz that shit made me ill for an hour after probably didn't help i was drinkin earlier in the day in the florida heat though as far as being ill
  4. just be like day day in next friday "dem 20's" Nah man dem aint 20's" "aight aight dey 10's but i keep em clean"
  5. but it does have to do with coils most alum coils are will have more resistance which means they are prone to power build up and most are flatwind coils which will have a smaller gap than the round copper so therefore the alum will and could peak easy due to power build up and smaller gap and the copper should handle more power given the material but may have a more linear response due to the how fast the electrical power can respond through the coil and the fact that their is a slightly bigger gap at some points in the coil windings
  6. well all i have to say is i don't know what your talkin about can't see anything wrong on the surface
  7. X2 ^^^
  8. i can tell you this for sure that the AC meter does read different freqs at higher lvels the AC tends to read a little higher on higher tuned systems and yes the temp thing is true it does red higher when its hot out and lower when its cold edit don't want to make ya think too much of your next reading
  9. well i think i can take this at face value and say if they were going to put your name on a product would let it hit the streets as an inferior product and i was jk when i made the comment as meade has an eye for detail and so does aa so i'm sure the push back is for a reason
  10. well i would like to think that but i have gone more to sq side of things now a days I wanna do bassrace 130 to139.9 and compete in iasca sq amateur class ya know but maybe after this an spl car may emerge into the lanes this is going to be my dd
  11. if meade has his way they will be out in 10min but he probably has some say over the finished product and knowing him he won't tolerate anything less than the best so he may have something to do with the delay based on that fact
  12. well if i go with the tb i'll have more upfront power and that means no upgrades all im only going to about 2000 rms so and the 140 should take care of that so it is a factor unfortunately
  13. So i have two to pick from first is a 2000 to 2002 4runner limited pros small cabin, easy to work on, decent gas mileage for what it is, and easy to upgrade. The second is a 2002 to 2005 trailblazer pros better electrical alt is 140 to start, better drive comfort, bigger cargo area, and cheaper than the 4runner. what would you pick out of the two
  14. not really concerned with that but i listen to a lot of rock and alt and that sounds better sealed but i was also thinkin that when i listen to rap and hip hop it might be cool to switch the box from sealed to vented at the touch of a button ya know it would probably be the first of it's kind nobody go stealing my idea by the way i'll hunt ya down and do nothing lol take that
  15. not bad looking good on the exterior ya done anything on the inside
  16. I was thinking more like a slot vent with a wedge plug with some heavy actuators so when its closed it wont move at all from the interior pressure
  17. i don't want to port daily because the subs i will be using will probably be slightly overpowered by the amp and sealed will help them cope with the extra power
  18. rain x latitude YEAH for the win. in all seriousness not bad
  19. Well i can do it that's no prob i have a plan i just have no idea if it would be worth it ya know
  20. I was thinking of building a vented box with a port plug so i could seal it for daily use and vent it for bass race. I also thought it would be cool if the port plug was motorized on linear actuators with a 45 degree wedge facing the port face after it was extended out to let the port function at the push of a button so to speak anybody else done anykind of port plug and maybe got pics just curious of what i could do
  21. glad to hear good luck man hope you do well in the install world. I just remember the vet that hired me he said you got 90 days to prove yourself if I find you can't do it your gone on spot i've had the job 4 years now and Im on point with him he is wicked impressed to this day how I turned out. edit-spelling
  22. wow the pioneers really have you heard them they sound terrible everyone ive ever heard sounds really bad maybe because of the vehicle slash install done with them sorry this is going to sound a bit racist sorry i am not but, every ghetto stupid asshole worth his aunties government check if you live in Jville you will understand thats not a race thing its a stupid asshole thing but all of them have those damn things 4 or more in a sealed box and they think they are gods gift to car audio
