75% of full volume. all settings on the cd player set to 0. use a test tone of 50-60 hz

ok, so i'm rebuilding a computer and all...gonna be an intel quad core, 3 gigs ram, yadda yadda yadda. what i wanna know, is what's a pretty good 3d card to match this setup for about $200? or $300 MAX. or is there no such thing in this price range? i dno if i can justify spending 500 dollars on an accelerator card. i'm sure there's others that'll give me some pretty close results. i hope anyways. the ones i've looked at are nVIDIA 8800GTX and nVIDIA 8600GT. i've seen some people talk about others but have been mixed reviews. like the GTS cards i think? so i'd just like to narrow it down now since i can focus on my PC build till i add more woofers. i'd like a 768MB card if i can, but a 512 one will suffice.

what kind of amp is it? say it's a 1000 watt amp, you'd adjust the settings to where the output voltage reads about 31.62. because if you take the output voltage and square it, it'll give you the wattage (31.62^2 = 999.xx). kinda like when tuning the amp when installing it. so if the amp wasnt a true 1000 watt amp, it may not have that 31.62 volt output when setting it. that's they way i'd go about checking it without taking it somewhere to get it benched

basic cable ftl so i wont need the cable. those options may be better, but more than i wanna spend as of now. wanna finish building the actual computer first. so i'll probably try the card out first since it's only $15. but i'll keep these options in mind. thanks

now...how bout radio? i'd try and look but i wouldnt know what to call it. dont really listen to the radio, but might feel froggy once in a while and see if i hear any new music. plus being a freshly built comp, it'd be nice to have

i got a new nice LCD monitor for my computer, right? well my old shitty tv is well...just that. shitty. i have better picture and sound on my computer, so what i was checkin to see if i could do was be able to watch tv shows from my monitor? like maybe run a cable or get some kind of software? if it's even possible at all. i'd like to leave the screen where it's at now, dont wanna have to like...set it somewhere special or somethin. if not i'll just stick to watchin movies on here. 300 and transformers FTFW
