  1. you should its not as difficult as you think. just do pratice cuts until you find the right depth.
  2. make each of 11 cuts 1/2" apart. you should experiment with a piece of scrap mdf. 1/2 is not enough the cuts should be about 1/8" before cutting all the way through. be careful cause it very fragial.
  3. 11 cuts every 3/4 " on the table saw for 90 angle. i didnt glass the kerfed part alot of wood glue edit: 11 cuts 1/2" apart
  4. something i made for a customer and her jbl 12" sub. i wish i had taking more pictures, sorry glued and screwed sides and bottom to the back and dry fitting the front baffle and port to make sure it looks right painted the inside of port. i still need to cut the angles for the 45 piece inside the port all done and ready for pick up it turned out ok, well she was very happy and couldnt get over the flaired port. it sounded just like any other ported box that is "properly tuned". if you live in the sacramento area and need a sub enclosure made let me know. heres a link to my website for more info http://www.freewebs.com/idyllicenclosures916/

  7. i cant tell the differnce in sound with a port bent twice or once. i can say with the port being 72 sqin and 50" long it is very loud around 40hz. my girlfriend would say she was having a hard time breathing when volume was at full tilt.
  8. i used it for a month or so and im going the sq route now. 72 sqin of port area, port is 50" long, making it tuned at 40hz. so its geared towards spl and rap music with heavy bass. local pickup only. i leave in roseville, ca i left the layout on the bottom of the enclosure $60 is what im asking for this enclosure. i also make custom enclosure out of mdf if your interested checkout my website http://www.freewebs.com/idyllicenclosures916/
