  1. Well Fi underrates their subs, they can take more power than what their site suggests which has been proven a lot, same with other companies. Yes the AQ does rated power, but just because an amp is rated at a certain amount, doesn't mean you have to make it produce that much power. With keeping your signal clean, and having a decent electrical behind the amp, I don't see you running into a problem. But there are many amps out there that will do around that power you are looking for, there isn't really a "best" to use. I just use AQ because they have been very reliable for me, and don't break the bank.
  2. They've upped the suggested RMS since I have had one, interesting. I'd throw an AQ2200 on it and call it a day, it would take that like a champ.
  3. I put 2 layers of 5% tint on my blue stinger one. Still easily readable during the day and doesn't hurt your eyes at all at night. I love my stinger, definitely best for the money!
  4. Yeah, its a little loud. Plan is to add another AQ2200 and strap em. But I need to save up for coilovers and beefier electrical first.
  5. Thanks haha, maybe the video will make him change his mind!
  6. Loved my Q when I had it, I regret selling it.
  7. Removed the back seats, these things have more room than you would think they do. I still have enough leg room to drive very comfortably, and well at this moment no cargo space because the extra battery and highs amp are taking it up, but those will be moved soon for a little cargo area.
  8. It's getting there Thank you. Song was Everybody Else (Instrumental) by Twank Star.
  9. such a brutal note too I know. I love it, my steering wheel hates it though.
  10. Sugga Cooker by DC Yung Hot (Decafed). Right at 28hz for ya.
  11. Some people have had the standard phone cables work on their amps, others have not. I cannot remember what amps they worked on, but it is worth a shot if you want to use it. Pretty sure you can pick one up from RadioShack or something for pretty cheap.
  12. A good thing to use to "test" to make sure you'll like them before getting them professionally painted, or putting a lot of time/work into painting them, is to use Plasti-Dip. After you have decided if you liked it, or hated it, you can simply peel it off, or douse it in some degreaser and power wash it off.
  13. Not at the moment, been too busy with work. Off tomorrow though so I plan on taking a few tomorrow. I do have a video of demoing a co-worker. Only put it online to post on fb to mess with him. But I did post it here, here's the link. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/148203-demoing-a-co-worker/page__pid__2106860#entry2106860
  14. You mean number wise? I haven't gotten this thing on the TL yet. First time getting it on will be on August 26th at the comp.
  15. You don't necessarily have to get a sub that is recommended for that power. You could always go a little lower on the sub and just tune the amp to not put out that power.
  16. Thought it was common sense to turn down the volume on your computer when you know there is going to be distortion My bad, haha
  17. Co-worker heard I just got the MINI Cooper up and playing so earlier today after work I was able to get it up to my job to give him a demo (I have a suspended license atm, which is why I said I was able to get it up there). I only made this and uploaded it to mess with him on fb for trying to get out of the car. He has 2 12" Memphis's in his car (IIRC), so he thought my car wasn't going to be that loud. It's not a great reaction video, but figured I would still post it over here for shits n giggles. EDIT: Crap quality, shot with a Galaxy Nexus, they have crap ass camera's for videos.
  18. I hear ya, I had my old Explorer stickered up in Fi, Kinetik and AQ though for a little over a year and never had a problem. I live out in the country, not many people know where I live, and I can easily tell when a person is following me after I get off my exit on the interstate. Since I live out in the sticks, so many backroads that lead to my house, I can just jump on one, floor it and lose them, or take them on an endless amount of turns. I see you live in Lynchburg, if you are up for it there is a bass off hosted by Likuid Glass Kustomz and Team Deadly Hertz in Richmond on August 26th (Sunday) if you're up for a little trip to compete or just check out some systems. Here is the fb page for it. http://www.facebook.com/events/329155807170343/
