Towards the front of the box? I was thinking internal if they don't take up too much space. I don't have enough room for external ports behind the seat (the wuld have to be external back there). I have a trim piece back there that covers a metal piece with the same shape. It is just barely over 18" from the rubber mat on the bottom to the bottom of this trim piece (meaning, 18" is the highest I can go).

It definitely sounds like a part of the box is rattling. Place both subs in the box and turn the volume to just under clipping and firmly press on each surface of the box until it quits. Make sure to only do one surface at a time. If it doesn't quit, then I don't know what it could be.

Mine's a 60/40 split bench seat. I took a drivers seat from the same year model truck and used some spray-on fabric die (sp?) to get matching seats. I could get 5 cubes if I wanted, but I plan on having a custom built switch panel and some other stuff that I need within reach, so the most I can get would be around 4 cubes. Do you know a good port calculator that a novice could understand? Like I said, this would be my first ported box.

It's not 50" high. It's 50" from front to back. It's gonna be 7" high in the front and 14.5 in the middle. The very back is gonna be 18" high. The back will go behind the seats and will be 62" wide and the front and middle will be 13" wide. The side view is from the drivers seat. I hope that makes sense. I'll edit the top view pic for ya. Ok, heres a modified top view: Keep in mind, the pictures are not to scale. I will run the Pyle's for now, but I plan on upgrading when I get the money.

I forgot two dimensions. Give my a second. EDIT: HERE'S THE UPDATED DIMENSIONS: According to my best calculations, I would have about 3.7 cubic feet minimum. However I plan on using fiberglass on the bottom, so I may be able to get 4 cubic feet. Is that enough for two 12"s? I just edited it. Do you think 4 cubes is enough?

The MDF thing was a joke. (Perhaps it was too subtle) I know it is funky looking (I kinda laughed at it myself at first). On a more serious note, I don't know. This would be my first ported box so I have no idea about ports.

I was wondering if it would be possible to put a ported box in my standard cab pickup without doing a blowthrough. I already did all the measurements and drew it up on paint. EDIT: All dimension are outside dimensions and I will use either 3/4" MDF or .75" MDF.

I know. I had the 800 watt one. I plugged it into my 4x6 dash speakers (35 watts each) and at full power they were barely sweating. Then it took a dump in it's electronic pants and hasn't worked since. /Back on topic now

Theory doesn't always translate into reality. I've tried it myself with two subs. I could hear the sound, but it was noticeably muted. The 700 watt amp powering them sounded more like a 50 watt.

If it was 1/2 of them, then you would here sound, but it would be very muted. If 1/3 or 1/4 was out of phase, it would be less noticeable. If they were covered in some way but the seats, then it would only be noticeable with a mic.

Yeah they do cut it. And they do a good job (sometimes). I prefer to cut it myself because it gives me the satisfaction of saying, "I did all this with my two hands a a few power tools!". Not many people believe me because I'm pretty good with power tools.

If all you have is a standard battery, it might. Standard starting batteries are not designed to be continuously discharged. Say you have a 500 CCA battery and you draw 1 amp/hour from it, you would think that you could run for a maximum of 500 hours. But in reality, you would be lucky to get 5 hours. I know from first hand experience.
