I'm in Maryland and It's been illegal here for a few months now. Good law -
Birch is great for a sub box. Way stronger than mdf and a lot lighter too. Bass response isn't much better than mdf but imo it sounds better.

I always believed it would be ok to run two coils separately at half the watts...ex dvc4 ohm sub 1krms run 2 channels of 500rms to each coil. Like as in that is the third option, after series and parallel

Spades for wires less than 4 ga?
the4stringking replied to the4stringking's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
I'm going to be running 2 ga. So I will probably just use some 4 ga spades. Thanks guys. Yeah I pretty much suck at welding so that isn't exactly an option, but I can easily cut the wire and then crimp + heatshrink. One last question though: Is it better to run a distribution block or two wires from the battery? It seems like it would obviously be better from a distribution block but I already have my wires for my speaker amp in there. -
I have an ARC 1500dr I got from a friend, and it has 2 gauge inputs. They require spades, unlike more modern ones that you can just put the wire straight in. I can't seem to find any fork spades for wire thicker than 4 gauge. Does anyone make this? If not, what do you guys do to connect amps like this with thicker wire?
