2 ohm subs usually never really read exactly 2 ohms. They are 1.7-2.1 usually. You have nothing to worry about.
-
when you need more than 1 extra battery i would get a HO alt.
-
if your truck is the same size as my 95 chevy, you can do 2 18s at about the back window line, just have to use full 60in wide. Then you can put amps and batteries in the bed and get a bed cover or something. I would do the 4 15s though, more coil for the amount of power used.
-
you say positive terminal... the power or the speaker output?
-
I'm unsure why no one has said anything about running your bass boost on your deck 15/15. I never and mean never run my bassboost more than 25% of max. Let the amp door the work and stop trying to overdrive it with the headunit. One of the largest misused settings and biggest killer of coils.
Now as to your current issue. Did you take pictures of the recone broken still in the motor? Before gutting it? I know you say you fixed it 3 times but I really dont see that amount of glue on the spider nor ring? Im not saying you didnt, maybe you used small beads I dont know. Call the shop and we can chat.
Next....
On to the xl build what you got in mind?
If Op and I are on the same page,
Then that's not bass boost, but sub level. On almost every alpine and I believe some kenwoods, you need to turn the sub level to 15/15 to get full RCA voltage out.
my previous alpine had that. 15/15 sub level and no clippage.

Nice Vid. So what is your box tuned to?
31
I need to get rid of my fur, so played out nowadays.
lol, get over yourself.
-
It is quarter speed. Song in the vid was used to do the shirt trick.

price on 2 level 5 15s and 1 level 5 18, separate. to 77035
-
I would do 2 runs with either.
-
knu konceptz if you have the bones to shell out. otherwise for budget go welding.

Have you tryed to plug your mids and high rca in to the sub amp to see if it still does it with a differnt signal?
cant remember if i did, but i will try it again.

Damn dont use mdf, if even a little moisture get on that goodbye batterys.
i know how temperamental MDF if with moisture, that's why it could be completely sealed with either resin or bedliner. but you are right, something else would be more efficient.
-
I dont think they would have to be waterproof though, they are batterys, they are made to withstand the engine compartment.
it is the wires and such that i dont want ridiculous amounts of moisture to get to. I was thinking a MDF box coated with a bed liner style material or covered in resin. If course matched later, rubber grommets etc. Just wondering if anyone has done one or seen one. And getting a bed cover is out of the question.

is this the m2 level 5, or is it another shipment of m1 5s?
-
why not just put the batteries in your tool box?
umm... cause i actually use tools in my tool box, i have the factory jack, my craftsman set, ropes, straps, etc. It is FULL. not to mention i dont want to put holes in my tool box.
edit: batteries are 9in tall, 13in long, and 7.5in wide
-
The two batteries i have besides my starter are quite large, and I would like to move them to the bed under the tool box in the 10in tall useless space. What could i make it completely water proof with? will have a few 1/0's going in and out.
-
put it in, still does the same thing. 27 volume clicks on everytime, and works 100% after. maybe HU is acting up
-
450 shipped each is a STEAL of a price. Come on guys, great subs here. GLWS Hellbound.
-
from front battery, and get an agm up front bc itll destroy your kinetics over time
it wont destroy them, i have ran kinetiks with stock batteries for months and they still rest 12.9v.
yes it is bad for them, but destroy is a strong word.
-
deadbolt on your room door will fix it all. unless she knows how to wield and axe and go to town you will be fine.
-
tight budget and OFC shouldnt be in the same sentence. man up or get CCA
Enclosure for Dc 15" SPL

it is if i remember correctly a XL with a non vented bottom plate, different spider set up maybe, or something around that realm. Pretty sure the bottom plate doesnt have a hole in it.
