  1. Yes it could cause its not constantly seeing .7 load you will most likely rise above 1ohm when playing.

Why not get the 2k? or do you already have the 1.2k?

    bad info.

when playing music, since it is dynamic, the ohm load is never the same, so you cant bank on saying, "I will have box rise so ill be good" because that only works with burps, which is a constant tone.

OP as far as the amplifier is concerned, it can handle .7 all day long as long as you have sufficient electrical for about 1800w.

  2. So lets use an RF 1000bd with a D2 sub wired to 1ohm what kind of wattage difference would be seen when tuning with a DD-1?

    would -10db be like 1000w ?

    would -5db be like 950w ?

    would -0db be like 900w ?

well this test would be pointless, since you set your gain to what you music's maximum amplitude is. IF you play basslines that reach -5 db, you set it with -5 db.

why this test is pointless, is because you arent going to play a -5db bassline and set it with -10 and gain wattage, you might gain some wattage, but it will be extremely clipped.

the only way this test would hold ground is to play a -10db tone, set it with 0db, check how much wattage you get, set it with -5 and check how much wattage, and then lastly set it with the proper -10 and see what you get, which at -10 with a -10 tone would be maximum gain or on the dyno max rms power.

  3. lol. ill give it up. whoever wants to be in a small raffle i guess for it post your name. ill do it tonight and send it to someone.

1998 - when the movie was shot

venice, CALIFORNIA - where the movie takes place

life is without objective meaning, purpose, or value - the nilhilist belief, which is an antagonist in this movie

bocce - an italian word for a game in which you bowl

bowling, nihilists, venice cali, 1998 = the big lebowski.

  4. only thing, i wish it didnt stop its true power dyno at clipping. some/most competitors go into clipping, so this would in turn give them a unless number (not completely useless), but you get the point. it would be cool if it was possible to be able to include or omit the clipping stopping point.

  5. You have an expedition. I'm sure you have more than enough room. Don't worry about tuning to 28 hz. As long as you arent overpwoering some ungodly amount you can still play under tuning. Id shoot for 33 or so to be honest. But you need to build bigger stronger and better with more port area. That thing would shred itself in minutes single baffled all the way around.

I know, my measurements were with the side panels still intact, I still gotta rip all that good stuff out and get some new measurements and see what im working exactly. The amps I wanna put two racks in, 1 on each side of the car in the windows slanted. I just gotta dive in and get a box built So I can build the rest of the car lol.

^^^Agree with the others. 300+ inches of port to start and 1.5" on all sides. Tuning in mid to low 30s. Those subs will do their job in a box without high 20s tuning. High 20s is silly to me if you plan on playing ANYTHING other than Decaf or chopped and screwed music.

I really only been playing decaf and low hitting songs. Don't big into high note songs. I will change it if i don't like how it hits.

this is what i came up with. Port is still small for me, but not knowing how much height you are willing to give up, this is about as good as it is going to get. Doubled all around, triple baffle, didnt do bracing because it is just a visual representation.

Thanks for the help with specs. I will take them into consideration :P. I kinda wanna keep the top of the box level with the top of my back seats head rest. but I may have to sacrifice that want lol.

if you want a box that wont flex and is done right, you will.
