Anyone see a problem with this port?????????????
MrSkippyJ replied to UMGixxer's topic in Subwoofers / Enclosures
Well I would say you need a baffle and a top, but if you fix that it might work. Seriously, I am not good with ports so I will let someone who knows tell you! -

Yeah! I love the boro! I was there for about 8 years (MTSU) before I moved to Memphis with my wife. I shall be there for a short while next Friday on my way to Chattanooga. Great to see so many TN people here. -

Why not Ford? Wasn't Ford one of the American companies that didn't take any bailout money? -

FF 3.6 seems to be working for me. -
Ding Ding Ding. We have our answer. Also, you really don't need that Alpine crossover, you are hardly touching what it is capable of. Just ditch it, bridge your amp and run the speakers using the passive crossovers provided. Set the LP filter to something of your liking and get new amp. Problems solved.
-
That is an active crossover in-line before the amps. He is not using the passive crossover provided with the components. He IS running active.
-
I looked up the amp, was hard to find somewhere that gave the RMS rating, it is 50W a channel. If the amp works, you should just bridge the amp and use the crossovers that came with the component set.
-
This. Are you using the crossovers that came with the component set or running active?

Ok that clears up what you were saying. You do see that your cap is right next to all of your RCAs right? -

I am having trouble understanding your wiring here. Are you saying the output of 2 channels of one amp is the input to 2 other channels of the same amp? And somehow that is also the input to your sub amp? -

Need more info (amps and HU). Most often engine noise is not a sign of cheap RCAs but rather a grounding problem somewhere or cheap equipment. -

Same here, except I teach. Elementary music to crazy Memphis kids, but most of the time I love it. -
So give him the $70 and be done with it. Why is this so hard? By filing a claim you yourself are admitting the sub was messed up during shipping. Give him the $70 and you have fulfilled everything you need too. I can't figure out why this is difficult for you.
-
If the sub turns out to be fine, you could oh I don't know, go crazy and tell them the truth? If the sub doesn't turn out to be fine, then I guess you need to help him replace it since it was messed up during shipping.
-
If the sub turns out to be fine, shouldn't you guys let FedEx know?
