    i want to know if there is a mla thingy my truck. im olny charging to 13v i have a ford 2004 expedition 5.4 4x4. i also have a mechman 260amp alt.

    souldnt the head unit shut off if the voltage drops that low. and 7 volts its for sure goin to mess up your car. fuel pump and stuff rite?

    yeah ive learned a shit ton in the last year and ahalf. ive install all my friends systems and a few not friends systems. and i love doing it so car audio is going to be my hobby for the rest of my life. hopefuly. ok back on track. what is going to proper elet. set up. i do not want to put athere alt. if i dont have to. and i can get 0/2 welding wire for free.

    yes i have no exp. im going to be 18 in a couple of months. but i half assly know what im doing. dose the clipping light work good on them? because i am pissed at the audiopipe because it has blown one of my subs because of the clipping. and i know its not the amps fault its mine but i like to put the blame on the amp.

    i want to run four dc lvl4 15s off a dc 5k. i have one mech man 260 amp alt.1 run of 0/2 welding wire and two kinetik 2400. would this amp be to much for theses subs? 2 or 3 runs of 0/2 welding wire? and how many more kinetiks would i need to run?

    what i was trying to ask was if there is to much port area. i was riped when i wrote it.

    its two audio que hdc3 18s dual 2 ohm. each of them are hooked two one channal the amp reading 1.2 ohms. with them specs of the box dose it seam like there is too much port area. i dont think the subs are out of phase but the cones do move at differant speeds. one of the is the new aq hdc3 with the mesh in between the rizers. and the other one is the old one where you can see the coil.

    the box is h24xw49xd30, port t4.5xw49xl17, port back, sub up, 1 inch mdf, double baffle. subs hdc3 18 copper coil d2. amp audiopipe ap30001d. it sounds rilly pikey like it pounds higher lows like 36 to 48 and then rilly high tones

    Im half blown retarted. so just rite in the + and - of the amp. im also going to be running a high amp. so i was thinking the back batt.

    where do you connet a volt meter. front batt. or back batt. or a 12 volt sorce like a cigeratte lighter. my cosint said the 12 volt sorce. to read the over all voltage.

    as of rite now i have 19h 37d 49w. with a 4.5t 47w 19l port. sub displacement .66. net vol is 12.5. port area is 211.5. tuning 37.03Hz. 1 inch mdf.

    i have two 18 inch aq hcc3 and a audiopipe 30001d. my subsonic is at 5 hz and i play old school cars what has a 6 hz tone in it and my subs do not bottom out

    when u build a box for inverted subs how far do u need to have between the cone and the piece of wood under the cone

    ya i like my aq hdc3 18s but i am havin problems rite now one sub started to rub on the thing inside of the voice coil and now im in the reconin of it

    i have it rilly dose not make a differance. is my box to small? or could it be the rear windows? i was thinkin the rear windows. because my frined has a tahoe with two 15 l7s and the truck has like no flex on the out side but is loud as hell on the inside.

    is runnin at two ohms. like more then 3/4 of the up. 13.0 v drop it only sits at 14.08 v at ilde with everything off. 8 inchs

    i have a 2001 expedition with the rear quarder vent windows (what clap like a fat strippers ass cheaks). but for my system i have two audio que hdc3 18s copper coils runnin off a audiopipe 30001d. i have knu konceps 0 gauge and a batt. the subs are in a 13ft3 box what is tuned to 37 hz with 211in2 of port area. subs up port back. it moves alot of stuff but dose not sound loud. my buddys two 15 l7 are louder and he is runnin them of a 5500 watt power acousik. but there in a tahoe.
