  1. Alright so I came across this video on youtube when I was gonna watch some bass videos (it was in the trending sidebar). At the time I seen it, it had 3,407,953 views and I'm expecting it to increase very fast. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=elaXeN15isM&feature=aso I do not watch American Idol (in fact I don't think I have every seen an episode). I am also by far not a sappy person but this video had my feeling sympathy for this guy, his girl and their families. At points I have even felt guilty. Go check it out. Don't be trolling (talking shit) on his situation just be considerate. Though he never may see this thread, it doesn't mean it should happen. P.S. I have no affiliation to this guy or anybody else in the video. I just think a lot more people should see this guy and show some support. Also for those who may follow American Idol, maybe you can keep us updated on him. Though some people may not care, I know some people will.
  2. haha yeaaa. No doubt it will be ported. How is the Havoc anyways? I was looking at them and they caught my eye but never got any true feedback on them. Just a whole lot of people running their mouths.
  3. haha, yea i was thinking of that but the 18 has more cone area, therefore louder on music right? A kickass box for 12's would make em slap tho and quite possibly hit lower in proper enclosures. But 18's are just badass. So if i can fit it within the proper parameters then thats what I'm doing. I'm just looking for advice wether I should do it or not.
  4. I understand it's not the best way to run for trunks but its the only way i can run something bigger then 12's and 12s are still a push. The trunk itself is a fair size for the size of the car but its the openings. They are so small. your lucky, your trunk is pretty wide no homo but my trunk is 30 between the wheel wells and its a squeeze for my twelves Yea, its really the only reason why I can fit a decent sized box. If it wasn't for width I think I would be screwed. If you could fit the 18 would you? id probably jazz my pants if i could fit an 18 and i would definitely do it. If your facing up just make sure the sub has a few inches to "Breathe" i say go for it Yea I know what your saying about room to breathe and is accounted for..Thanks for the input.

  7. Alright so I had planned to run 2 Fi SSD 12's in my 2006 Lancer Ralliart. And then I got the great idea to do a 18" Fi BL. When I started looking into it, people have been saying you shouldn't run a 18" in a trunk because of minimum air space. I couldn't really find a direct answer so I decided to make this topic. So what do you guys think? 1 18" BL or 2 12" SSD. Also, all i play is music. Mostly Tech N9ne and such. Below is my current build. Maybe it will help with your decisions. 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart. Alpine CDA-117. Focal K2 Power 165KF components. Hifonics ZXi6410 4 Channel (680RMS x 4 - 85 watts/channel @ 4 ohms, 320w bridged @ 4 ohms). 2 Rockford Fosgate P2 Dual 4 12s (P2D412) running off bridged channels on Hifonics in custom 3.7ft^3 (after displacement) ported box. Rockford Fosgate 1000-1BD should be here December 22nd and will be running new subs. H100 Imprint kit being ordered soon. 1/0 Knu Konceptz KCA Power Wire being run back which is then distributed into 2 runs of 4 gauge Knu Konceptz Kolossus Fleks Kable to each amp. The box dimensions of my current are as follows (all outside dimensions): W = 20" D = 30" H = 14" Area = 3.7 ft^3 Port tuned to 34hz Subs up-firing and ports aimed at passenger side Same box will be used for Fi SSD's So far the dimensions for the 18" BL are as follows: W = 24.5" D = 36" H = 13.25" (will be double baffled and therefore 14") Area = 5.15 ft^3 after woofer displacement Port tuned to 31Hz Sub up-firing and ports will probably be pointing at back seat, so toward front. I understand that this is a small box for a 18" but on the Fi website recommendations start at 5 ft^3 and up so... Max height of my trunk is 18" Max depth is 33" Max width is 38" (this is between wheel wheels) I have nearly 50" when not counting wheel wells. So in conclusion, is the 18" rational or should I do the 2 12's as I had planned. Thanks for your time, Matt
  8. So if I got a 120a alt, upgrade front batt, add rear batt, and do the big three, I should be able to run 2k Rms? Sorry about asking a question in response to your question, just interested.
