Just wanted to let everyone know that we are currently moving to a different location, so there may be a slight delay in the responses. I am handling things at both locations right now, so I cant be on the forums as much right now. Should have everything completed here in the next week or so and then back to business as usual. Just wanted to let everyone know.

They will be fine. If you mount them upside down they will not charge efficiently in an application.

You can not run a 12V and 14V battery on the same electrical system with out some step downs in place, or you have separate alternators to power the 12v and 14V sides. The first thing you need to look at is if your amp can take a 14V system, which will be charging in the 16.5-16.8V range. If you are going to run 14V then it really makes no sense to try to run a 12V and 14V system. You will see some big advantages in power running with the 14V system over a 12V system, but you need to make sure your equipment will take it and you have to be able to charge at the higher rate. Running a 16V system would have you at 16.9V fully charged with a load on them and charging at 19.2V.

Where are you reading the voltage drop at? Are your back batteries charged up and good? Check your voltage output at the alternator, front battery, and back battery bank. They all should have the same voltage. Check your grounds and make sure all of your connections/fuses are good. If your front battery is reading 13.7 at full tilt and your back batteries are charged and good, then you should not be dropping that low.

If you are having trouble with the VCM please email [email protected] This will help the guys in the long run. I myself have only heard of a few VCMs that were acting up.

I have the same problem with one or 2 it works fine with 3 i cant drop it below 15v and i have it on a switch and every time i turn it on it peaks at 16.3 and i have to re adjust it real quick befare it blows my computer or something. why is that nathan and why does it lose its memory each time? i wish it had a potentiometer or something so it stays at were you put it at. i just use it for comps cause it wont go below 15v and you said dont charge the batterys higher than 14.9 There is no reason it should lose the memory. As long as the harness is hooked up and there is power going to the VCM it should remember the set points. If you have it on a switch, then that can have an effect on the memory of the VCM. I do not know why it would increase the voltage when hooked up to multiple alts. There are a few people that have had this problem, but most do not. Steve has had the earliest VCM and hasn't had a problem. They are changing out some of the board, because some of the parts are not available any more and they are going to update the program in it. The VCM has a 1 year warranty so you are more than welcome to give us a call for an RGA # and send it in.

I would love to hear who told you that, because it is 100% BS. We are out of stock on them right now, because we are changing out some of the board in the VCM due to parts not being available anymore.

The order is in the system, just waiting for the shipping department to be able to ship it. so since i was charged, my batt shipped right? (according to what that says) just curious cause i didnt get tracking infos yet so was just wondering if it did infact ship Should have shipped out Thurs. If they deliver it when the customer is there the customer can decline the delivery due to shipping damage and then UPS will take the battery back. If they deliver the package when the customer is not there, then the customer just needs to call UPS to file a shipping damage claim. UPS pays a very SMALL portion of the cost and we have to cover the rest of the cost and eat the cost of a replacement battery. We hardly ever have shipping damage, but when we do 90% of the time it is around the Christmas and New Year time frame.

You will want to monitor the voltage output on the charger and make sure it doesn't go above 14.4V. 15amps is the optimal charge amperage of the battery.

What is the outside temp? Have you checked to see if there was a draw on the battery when the vehicle is shut off? Did you take the battery out of the vehicle and charge it up? What was the voltage on the battery fully charged? What was the resting voltage on the battery 24hrs after fully charging it?

D3400 should fit in the stock location. If you are running side posts, then you will need the 551 or 555 iBar kit. If you are just running regular automotive top posts, then a set of the 580s is all you need. Not sure do ya have PP. In the office now.
