What makes sundown amps better than Hifonics? jw... Hifonics works great for me and they seem pretty good. But i would like to know why Sundowns are better

Well im prolly guna get bashed for this greatly, but i would go JL w3s I Have a pair and love them they take like no watts and just hit every note...They are pretty amazing and Probally will never blow if you put them with the right amp. Please dont bash me.... Everyone has a diff opinion. For some reason lots of people on this site do not like jls. I have no problem with the se's but i have heard both kinds of systems and would say jls are nicer

So steve if im putting in an 18 into a Impala...maybe 2 18s shud i deaden the whole floor and roof like you?

Are there 18's a good sub? because i have not found anyone with an 18 from them. only like 4 15's and 10s. And i whent on there website and they dont list specs for the subs...where can i find the specs?

I like the sound of jls...imo they are really clean. Ya AQ are not that bad for price either.

I plan on putting it in my new car this spring. Idk for sure what kind it will be. I would like a newer impala on some 20"s. And i do plan on spending some money. I am going to build This for comp. So I am not going cheap. I found AQ subs the other day...does anyone have these on here? And Y are w3s a bad set up?

NO i know it takes alot of money im just wanting to get somthing that i wont get sick of..I am expecting to put in a 250A alt., 0 gauge power,0gauge ground, big three under the hood. Im really good at making boxes. So i will be making my own. and the reason people get like 8k in a system is because they buy like 4 15s and 4 18s...I would like to maximize my 1 or 2 subs that i purchase. I'm prolly guna drop about 3k on this system.. at the end.. Like i said i am trying to plan for this summer. Would 4 jl w3 v2 12" hit a good 145-150? Keep the ideas comming! Ya i love the subs i just dont think im hitting that loud. Im guestamating im rite at 140 give or take a few dbs. And i also thought bout finding another pair of them and having 4 12s but i just dont know... So ram you were guna get a pair of these? Dont you have a really mean kicker set up? And y would you want the subs facing forward?

He does 150s with tens? I gota see this! And i wud like 150 or more...lol i know its soooo hard to get those numbers but im committed. my goal is 150 no less.

Ya I got like 8k in the bank from working..But i have to go to collage after high school. So i can't just blow it all. Ram what kind of subs are you thinking? and accord man..U think i should just port my setup right now? More ideas more ideas!!!!!

Hey guys, I am thinking bout upgrading my system dramaticly. I wana go big and hit high numbers. I am also thinking bout getting a different car. I was guna go like a newer Impala or somthing else kinda like that. I am wondering what kind of sedan cars you got, what your running, and what kind of numbers your throwin down on the. I would like to know where they are being recorded to< (dash,floor,etc.) I was thinking bout going with a FIBTL 18. Just one...but I am second guessing it, because I think for some reason i can be louder maybe for cheaper. I do not want to go low quality for no reason though. Just 460 bucks is alot of doe for a highschooler. I am currently running 2 JL Audio W3 V2's in a seald, seperated enclosure. It pounds really good and hard but just got old to me and i want more. I also have a Hifonics Titan on this setup. Just let me know what you driving and your setup...and anything else you may want to add. Thanks alot guys.

Ya I'm 17 and love working on systems. My parents are pretty cool bout it. My mom gets into it..when im working on my subs she will ask questions, and try and help. I mean she did let me put my JLs in her car when i first got my license..lol It was great, I would here bass and it was my ma drivin in the driveway.

Hey Steve this question is for you. How many dbs do you think you could squeez out of one single 18" FIBTL? or 2 15" FIBTLs. You are probally the person that know what these subs are capable of, so thats why I ask you. And also how many watts would you feel comfortable throwing at each set up? I wana know what you think not the ratings. Thanks man

JL Audio makes some pretty great subs, and they are some of the best subs for SQ. I do not know about the newer ones like the W7s but my 12" W3s are amazing.. and My 10" W1s are pretty good too. I also Have a triple W0 10" set up. What happened to your JL 1000/1 amp?
