Being 41 gets me a lot of "old man" jokes at work. There was a group of kids that used to come by our shop. They averaged the same age as my son, 21. That, compounded with a new grandbaby, really make me feel old. Lately i have been making some "old man" jokes of my own, threatening to quit my job and go to work at Wal-Mart to greet people at the door, hehe.

Tread jack kinda.. How long can the ground on amp be from the battery? The ground needs to be as short as possible.

besides the power issue you might have, there are other things to look at. do you have a good, solid ground on your amp? If the ground is too long, loose, or not anchored tight to bare metal, you can have this happen. How are your subs wired? If your OHM load is to low, you can have this problem Is your box built properly? If your port tuning is off, you can tear up your subs. definately get the big three done asap. Your 4g power wire isn't helping you much, if your factory ground wire at your battery is 8g. this is just the start

She would kill me if she knew I posted them, but I found them when I was going through old files. Besides sanding and shaping, she helped her Mom and Aunt build some kick panels for our Intrepid She turned 16 on the 11th. I couldn't get her in a shop now to save her life!

I don't the the rings would work with my older column. A few years ago, I had converted the cruise control buttons in my dodge intrepid to be used as steering wheel controls. It was just easier to get a different wheel, have some welding work done to make it fit my car, then the rest was down hill from there.

The peswix wouldn't work, since there would be no way to get the wiring through the column. I soldered the buttons from the wheel, to the pad on the remote control. It's a cheap Jensen Double Din, but gets the job done. I am trying to find time to get a vid up of it working...will post it as soon as i can!

When it comes to 12 volt-anything I can handle it. But when it comes to computers, I am an Idiot! I had to get my 15 year old daughter to help me...haha

This car started as my work car. I hope to get a build page together soon, but had to share this upgrade with SMD! I modified a steering wheel from a 2008 Honda Civic, so it would fit a 1990 Honda Civic. I also integrated all of the buttons on the wheel...
