I opened it up so I can adjust the gain from inside of the amp because the knobs snapped off. I was able to turn the gains inside with a mini-screw driver. And then this black little thing came off. My friend tried to solder the connection back on. The solder wouldnt stick. Any clue on how I can get this fixed? The amp turned on before I opened this amp up... But didn't test it out on any subs because I don't have any at this time. I know a shop locally where they sell nothing but Rockford gear... and I think they do amp repairs but I'd to see if I can save me some $ first. Let me know if you need to know more of details on the amp. Thank you very much.

and on more thing.. i dont want to make another post so ima ask on here instead :].. i got a nice Rockford 551x amp, its a 4 channel. and it brings my speakers alive! haha thing is i need the money.. and i have a buyer, hes willing to buy it for $160. what do you guys think? id appreciate for any opinions. and it comes with both ends caps! and in good condition.. i probably wont come across this amp again if i sold it hehe. thank peoples!

The HX2 15 will sound a lot better then the P2. HX2 were some of the best woofers Rockford made. I have P2's and they sound great but I much prefer the sound of the HX2. mhmm sounds good ;]. i had some 12's in a sealed box with the RF factory box! ha.. i never heard them in a ported box though. their is a guy kind of locally that is selling a pair of RF HX2 15's for $125 or $60 a piece.

I would like to know if anyone own/played one of these subs? I have an extra ported 15" box laying around and want to go with either one but would be nice to hear some input out there. Which one you think will perform best? Thank you.

POS?.... i know it sucks haha. i was wondering if i should buy working faceplate or buy a remote for the deck.

I just bought a this deck used on eBay. Seller said it was in great condition and works great. Deck turns on but their were a couple things wrong with it. The only way it turns on if i take out the cd with the faceplate off/down. And the buttons do not function. Only the volume knob works. I cant adjust any of the audio features. I applied pressure on the faceplate one time and the red power light stopped blinking and as i was pressing down one of the buttons worked... But after that that never happened again. Doesn't that red light suppose to stay solid/still? Everything sounds good and clear.. I just can't adjust any of the settings.. I really like the deck and want to get things or at least try to make it work. Anyone has any suggestions on what should I do? Any input will help. Thank you people for your time.

I got 2 dual 4 ohm subs.. What will be the best way to wire these babies up?

there are dual power and ground terminals so you must use both. easiest way would be to get a single run of 4 gauge and run it into a distribution block and split it into 2 8 gauge (iirc thats what the amp has) and wire as normal. you can do the same thing for ground or you can just do 2 8 gauge runs to the same ground spot on the frame. thanks for the reply Kranny :]... im just running one power and one ground wire.. and it works fine .. but im pretty sure its just using half of amp's power..agree? you think it would be fine if i ran just 2 power wires into the amp and just one wire on the ground?

bump? well i gone ahead and bought the RF 800a2.. it has dual power and ground outputs.. anyone know how to set this up? i never had an amp that had this.. i hooked everything up. should i run another power wire from the amp? b/c right now i have just one wire connected, same as the ground. and what will be best way to wire my subs?... i got dual 4 ohm subs.. thanks people..

hello. their this seller on Craigs that is selling this amp to for $80 but i got to drive all the to him, about a 20 minute drive.. anyways... i want to know if these amps are any good? anyone ever owned these amps? how did they perform? i did some research on this amp and read nothing but good reviews. i just want to know and hear from you people :]. i got (2) 10 inch Alpine Type-Rs in a ported box, so you guys think it will be a good match up? ... also i have another seller in mind.. he is selling an Alpine MRD-M1005 amp for $100 (he might be flexible on price).. or should i go with this Alpine amp? any input or suggestions will be appreciated :]. thank you for your time.

Hey guys.. Youu think it would fine if i ran the alpine amp with 4 gauge? Alpine recommends 8 gauge. And plus 4 gauge is my current setup.

Less than 1000 is good for me. I got stock electrical. I can get the alpine m650 for $75... And the kenwood 9104d for $100... I owned a kac8104d before and it got hot and clipped a few times when i cranked it up... Maybe i had the gains too high? Well yeah i heard good things on alpine gear.

which alpine and kenwood amp are you taking about? kenwood and alpine make more than one model..... KAC-9104D (kenwood) or MRP-M650 (alpine)

well i can get the kenwood amp for $100 and the alpine amp for $75.. yeah i am looking to upgrade later but im looking for a daily sound system. nothing competition wise just something enjoy listening . sorry about that people :]

well right now i just got a 12" alpine type r in a ported box. dual 4 ohm... but i might be getting rid of it soon. stock electrical. im not looking for anything that will rock my socks or anything crazy loud haha. just a nice hard hitting sound inside the car, just right.

i just want a quick second opinion for people before i get one of these amps. please tell me what amp would you choose and why. thank for your time :].
