  1. Hey I was just talking to the owner of the shop I worked at for the last 8 years and he was considering taking on DC. We are in Alberta canada, not sure if ur looking for dealers up here but heres his contact info. Audio Dezigns Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada T9H 1Y4 780-715-2266 Owners name is Shawn
  2. Member since October 2006, got hooked in the realm of excursion days Steve, I don't post very much at all but my lurk game hahah. Oh and I'm from Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada
  3. I rarely post here but have been here almost since day one, i think i became a member oct. of 06, but i remember following steve's builds on ROE and hearing he was starting his own forum. although my post count doesnt show it i am on here at least an hour or two everyday lerking. never imagined the forum would end up this big and successful. Congrats Steve!!!!
  4. finally i am a member of the, "I finally have a real Truck" club, i just picked up my dream truck, its a white 2006 yukon denali XL....i will have pics up soon, but the build is going to take a little while but i cant wait....ridin around stock is the shitiest thing ever lol
  5. this site is awsome, i can vouche for it too, here is another likny to register aswell http://swagbucks.com/refer/goopster reason for edit is my link wasnt right lol
  6. yea that was just a rough estimate strait off of kickers specs, there will be much more thought put into the box when it comes time to actually begin the build, which will hopefully begin early to mid october.
  7. ok thanks for the reply, i just have one small delema, the only thing i can fit on my truck is a single 250 amp alt, then if i loose the ac unit i may be able to get another 250 in there and possibly a 3rd one in that location, is there any other way i can do it, or any other places i can put an alt.
  8. thats what i was thinkin, i may just take my AC unit out and make a bracket to hopefully put one there, maybe even two if i can
  9. well, currently i have 4 fifteen inch kicker L7's each running off of there own zx1500.1, so each sub is currently seeing roughly 1600-1800 watts.....this is walled of in my ext cab colorado and this setup is no longer cutting it hahaha....now my new idea is 4 eighteen inch kicker solo X's off of 2 of the new kicker 10000watt warhorse amps, and then eventually 4 of these bad boys. my plan is to put a canopy on my truck and cut out the entire back wall of my truck and bring the box basically back to the tailgate. the box will hopefully be between 30 and 40 cubes tuned to the mid 30 hertz range...... now my three biggest questions are: 1)does anybody have any links of pics to a clamshell style build? 2)if i keep my truck running will i be able to run this system with one 250 amp alt, 12 runs of zero gauge pos and neg, and 10-20 kintic hc2400's? 3)anything you guys would change or add or anything of that nature feel free, im a big fan of constructive critisism
  10. thanks guys...already thinking of a new system though.....possibly some sort of clamshell
  11. na wasnt that crazy hard.......jus LOTS and LOTS of money and hardwork lol, and before ppl start hatin....no mommy and daddy didnt pay for n e of it, it all of my work and money, but yea living at home helps, no bills
  12. so i finally managed to hit 150db, well it was actually 150.3...but who's counting lol.....my system consists of 2 sets or kicker rs comp sets, 2 kx 350.4 for the speakers, irragi 200 amp alt, 2 runs of pos and neg 0 gauge wire, 0 gauge big 3, the deck is a kenwood excelon double din....the sub setup is 4 15 inch kicker L7's off of 4 kicker zx1500.1's all walled of in my extended cab colorado... i posted a topic about how i was thinking about getting this setup like a year ago and most people told me that the subs wouldnt take that kind of power, but they are taking it like champs .... i think this is a prety good start for a 17 year old kid hahah, but working at a car audio shop for almost 2 years now has helped me lots........ill get pics of my install and term lab score asap....just really stoked and wanted to know what u guys thought?
  13. yes that is just the short term plan for the mids and highs, a little further down the road like in the summer i plan to buy a kx850.4 and get 4 more sets of rs comps, then i will be happy
  14. the new system is finally in the works, as of nowin my truck i have a kx350.4 powering 2 sets of kicker rs components and a zx1500.1 powering 4 cvr 12's. now the new system will consist of another kx350.4(already have) powering 2 more sets of rs compnents.... 3 more zx1500.1's(4 total) powering 4 15 inch L7's...the amps and subs will be ordered hopfully by the end of the month then a build log will begin, then hopefully not to long after that i will order my batcap 8400 and iraggi 200 amp alt... also i already have tons of fuse holders, 250 amp fuses, ring terminals and about 100 feet of 0 gauge...this will be walled of in an 06 ext cab colorado tuned in the mid 30's...the main goal of this is to be a strate ground pounder...and as for metering, my goal is a 148-151 on music.... what yall think of the system and sumwhat of a reasonable goal right
