If you want to do L shape port, the dimension given will result in too small net volume for those two subs. If you don't mind extending the depth several more inches, below is what I came up with. Box dimension: 13.5x40x20 Port dimension: 12x4x28 Gross Volume: 4.95ft^3 Port Volume: 1.17ft^3 Sub displacement: 0.35ft^3 Net Volume: 3.43ft^3 Tuning Frq:33.43hz

have you try design including the 6" drop extension?

that size port is too small for the box 24in^2. For every cube, you'll need between 12-16in^2 of port area. The Area range in the Speaker Box Tuning Calculator program will guide you. Your actual port area is calculated right below that.

Swaggasaur, I just realize you can't do 13 height port if your boxt is 13 high. 13" high box minus 1.5" (0.75 top baffle and 0.75 bottom), leave you with only 11.5 hight of port. With port being 11.5 high, max port width is 4". Min width is 3". With 11.5"x3"x 26" of port, will give you your desire tune. But box will be too small, 2.76 ft^3. If that's all the space you're willing to sacrify, I would recommend doing tube. take less cube for tuning.

I have the ap3000d (two of the ap1500 combined and like it so far)

doing the 6" drop is similar to doing a L shape slot port. only if i have a software to design, know how to use it, and have a way of posting pic. currently i just do everything by hand, paper, and pencil minus the free box calculator a user here posted on the forum.

That's a lot of space for one 12 to cover. But i heard many people do around the max recommend size box for that power

dam, $200 is hard to work with. The kenwood amp on the link alone is 3/4 of the budget already. I would try to look for a used one.

That would be plenty for the subs under the right eletrical support. but back to your box... what's your plan?

I wouldn't do anything lower than 30hz though. What amp you will be running those boys?

Fail!!! ... at least try off topic. however, i would suggest troubleshooting starting with transmission leak inspection,clutch fluid and engagement test, shifter, etc... transmission job isn't cheap. for a 06 GT, you are looking at $2,000 easy.

^^ I agree. those amp selections are really bad for subwoofer use. Not a fan of any of those brand.

I would put those 12's facing forward through those two 13" trunk windows. utilize the whole section 10x43x14 2.55 ft^3 and some extension on the drop 8x43x20 (2.89 ft^3). Do Aeroport and after all displacement to 4.5 cub tuned to 35hz
