Fennygolf replied to Fennygolf's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
i unhooked the volt meter and left the wires hanging there and it still doesnt work -
alright guess i have a clarion headunit and its been running fine for about 2 years now ive been wanting a volt me to check everything just to have to make it a little better in car shows now ive been doing dumb posts and ive researched all night and picking my brain at this but heres what i did i took a sunpro volt meter like this one http://www.buyscheaper.com/buy-cheap-sunpro-cp8215-styleline-voltmeter-black-dial-special-price/ and what i did was hook it up to the power and ground on my headunit using 18 gauge wire now while i was installing it and BEFORE i mounted it under my dash i went to test it and everything was great and nothing was going wrong then i put my headunit back in and bolted it back in place and checked it again and it worked great again heres whats puzzling me after i screwed the mount in for some reason nothing works my headunit nor the volt meter will work and i have been picking my brain for the past 3 hours trying to figure this out someone please help cause show in 3 days and i need it working again even if the volt meter doesnt work i need my sound thanks
