I finally broke down today and bought some 1/0 for my big 3 charge wire. They charge five a foot!! Anyways I was wondering if running 1/0 would burn up my alt or batt. possibly since its stock, and if a 100A fuse is too much b/c its a 70A alt i think.. i knw the first one took a crap so got it replaced with a remanufactured one, idk if they're the same amps or not. started to rain so I couldnt hook it up to the alt.

ya i dnt have any bracing unless u count the port walls lol. I really have no experence with bracing but i guess i should start being that its a 15 and kinda heavy.

ya il prolly jus rig it to hell lol.. the baffel vibrates a little to when the subs slapping real hard. like more than it should, next box is gunna have screws every 3in.

Alright so im taking the amp and sub out of my trunk bc im going to install some sound deadener and 1/0 and I come to find this! My box swelded up bad and i dnt know how water got inside my trunk! anyways this is bad bc im going to two competitions later this week and im wondering if i need to make another box. I did 141.4 with it like that apparently lol but now this has just changed things. I was going to get the 1/0 gauge for my amp and big three, the sound dampener is already on its way. Do you guys think i need to build another one quick or just run it and get all my wire?

I heard from some box builder that there is a formula to find your car's resonant frequency. Is this true?

ok. a higher frequency make that much of a difference in spl?

I went to one of my first spl competitions yesterday and learned alot of stuff. I finished 3rd in my class hitting 141.4dB on like a 43hz sine wave with the cvx. The thing is now people are saying my box is tuned to low. Its tuned at 34hz which i planned originally for music, so now i need to build a box with a higher tuning. What freq. do you think i should make the box this time and do areo ports and slot ports do the same thing? I was going to try an areo port directed to the cab extending out from the box b/c the box i have now is 3.5 cubes with port displacement and that barely fits. Any suggestions would be great.

so a 12v die hard and a 12v xs wuld work wired in parallel? b/c i heard xs has lithium so that still would not matter?

ya definitly. Its alot more simple and i dnt want to have alot of runs of wire going out back. I will probly do the big 3 first, the batt, and then the alt. And hopefully eliminate all electrical probs.

ya that kinda makes more sense to me.. I my alt cannot supply the power needed to run that amp to its best

ok so you guys think i need a second batt? before the alt, cuz im rockin a 70A lol and wont i have to run more power wire to the batt in the back and an isolator or hows that work? and even if i do the second batt how is a 70A alt suppose to keep both charged? and im doing the big three ASAP trust me..

Ok so I just bought a zx1500.1, twice the power as my old 750.1 lol this thing is a powerhouse and is more than enough power for the 15" cvx im running. Anyways my voltage drops big time and the amp is only on half gain and no bass boost!! and im only running 4gauge to it with a stock die hard batt and 70A alt. So im wondering which steps i should take to get more out of this amp.. and which should i get first, a ho alt. or a good battery?
