  1. lol sorry I thought you were serious lol edit: lol yea I was there, totally funny then, still hilarious now lol
  2. Yea we need trunk dimensions (or box dimensions if you already have em) and speaker specs...
  3. LOL And I'll make you a box... for $150 dollars and you pay for shipping (or you can come pick it up, I'm in SC tho)
  4. LOL what did you wire the HU to? edit: and I think you should just make a new box and make it look good too. Router the edges and port and such, then paint it lol and get an LEDGLOW kit and put it back there... thatd be cool lol.
  5. HAHA will do lol your right he'll need it lol. edit: I'm pretty sure he wont end up doing this project anyway, but he was just curious on how it would go down lol and I didn't know so I thought I'd ask.
  6. nah he has two cadence 12s with 1000 watt rms amp but he's got some money and thought it would look cool lol.
  7. lol I understand it but he wouldn't lol. He just wants all the subs moving differently.
  8. Yea i got most of that but is there something (preferably one machine) that can tell each sub to play what you want it to play?
  9. Ok so my friend wants to do this crazy set up and doesn't even know how to do it lol. He described it as a 8", 10", 12", and 15" subwoofer in a box (all in different chambers of course) and he wants to make the 8" play the higher low notes (like 500Hz-300Hz?) and the 10" to play 300Hz-150Hz and the 12" to play 150Hz-50Hz and the 15" to play 50Hz-0Hz. Something like that. And he wants to know how the heck to set this up. I told him I'd ask the people at SMD to see what they would come up with. I was thinking he'd need a separate amp and equalizers but I'm really not sure. And let's go with a $5K budget. Hopefully I covered the bases lol. Let me know if I needed to give more info.
  10. lol looks great let me know how it sounds... I'm more of a slot port guy lol cuz I have plenty of trunk space. edit: BTW check out my build and tell me what you think... I could always use some tips/suggestions
  11. Alright lol i dont even have it mounted tho lol its just leaning against the back of the box because i SCREWED the box measurements up by a half an inch so it doesnt slide all the way back lol O WELL lol i actually have a PC fan layin around ill just use that thanks fer the help guys, but no one told me what a burning sub smells like lol
  12. POSITIVE lol but if they normally run hot its all good ill get a fan for it... it clearly gives u a picture of how to EXACTLY wire it lol
  13. I smelt this weird smell, cant really describe it, while i was driving, but you can only smell it when the windows are up A/C off and when the car gets hot inside LOL i just dont want these subs to burn out on me in the next couple months. But it may also be the paint thats why im asking because i did put spray paint in the port...
  14. Well this p.o.s. amp is gonna last me a while lol its not the amp tho. I got it for cheap anyway... but its wired the way the manual said to wire it... I have 2 p.o.s. Terminators lol so yea im kinda overpowering them a hell of a lot lol but they sound fine and I know how to play them if you know what I mean. And seriously gimme a break lol its my first set-up... I plan on gettin two RE SEXs and a 1200 watt RMS amp this summer when i get some more money. Just asking for some ideas on how to cool this amp and what burning subs smell like.
  15. I have a problem... My amp is getting really hot, to the point of if you touched it you would get burned. I don't know if this is normal or not but I have a Sony 1400 watt. Some ideas on what I should do to cool it down would be cool lol. Thanks. I also have another question too... What does a subwoofer smell like when your burning it out (or whatever you call it)?
  16. Nice! Yeah you definitely need to make a build log lol. And when I was installing my LEDGLOW lights I practically took apart the whole dashboard to figure out where to wire em to and then decided to just wire em through the cig lighter in the center console lol. Waste of my time but I now know how to take apart my whole car lol. You making that box for the one 15" in your signature?
  17. nice sounds like you gotta a lot of work lol. Do you have a build log?
  18. True that on switching out ports. Once you tack a slot port in there its near impossible to change it up.
  19. My rule is: it ain't ghetto unless you see wires or tape lol. edit: so I say go for it, but another thing lol, I would use a cig lighter that you dont use... just in case... like I used the one that is in my compartment between the front seats (forgot the name) instead of the one right under the HU... It should only be a couple feet longer and wiring it shouldn't be anymore difficult... just another suggestion (don't know if it really matters)
