How much better would a aeroport be over a slot port in terms of effeciency and/or numbers? I'm talking with aeroport inside box not outside. Also, are aeroports compatible with Kicker L7's? Specifically 2 12" L7's. I don't have much room to play with and wanna figure whats gonna get somewhat low but still loud.

Imo there is no universal best place for the meter. Just hook it to whatever you wanna monitor. Whether it be the amp, front batt, head unit, etc... Make sure you set the meter with a dmm to get accurate reading.

Personally I'd look into an MB Quart 4ch. There owned by Maxxsonics as is Crunch and Hifonics but IIRC, the Discus series is Maxxsonics 'premium' lineup of amps. I could be wrong though. Good price on em too. As for your amp, idk. Make sure you check the ohm load of each speaker and your power and ground are good.
