You won't get all 3 in one sub, if its really loud, it wont have awesome SQ, if it hits really low, it wont be really loud. You can get a woofer with a bit of each though.

He wants to hook up his floorstanders in his room up to some random amp. but he wants 4 speakers on the two channel amp, and it needs to be above 8 ohms. so he can only go for 16, but he wants it lower so he can draw more power. The 15 idea was to lower the ohmage, but it would fail

you dont want 1.6 ohms though? that will blow the amp. maybe just go for 4 ohms and put the towers in parallel. oh and you wont get more power cause the 15 will take anything that you gain from a lower ohmage

Your not really meant to mix ohmages like that. you would get 1.6ohms or something like that, its parallel is always less than the smallest value. maybe you should get a separate amp for the 15, it would sound better anyway :-)

One big port would be better. Also, the 3" diameter recommendation sucks! Not sure what pioneer smokes when they invent their recommended boxes. Go for a slot port, looks better and is easier to change size.

If by resonates you mean standing waves, then whats wrong? standing waves are good for spl.

I went with an RE XXX because everyone says the speaker is underrated and with the same power to it(2x JL 1000/1) the W7 outperformed to RE in volume and quality 3 weeks ago bassl0va in no way would a JL W7 beat a RE XXX. and also JL doesn't suck like people say, its just not worth the price it costs. 3 weeks ago AZombiesMinge Maybe if the RE XXX ad more power it would have been able to outperform th W7. Not everyone can wants to run 15,000 watts in their car. I think JL W7 is more than worth the cost. 3 weeks ago bassl0va yeah, it's mainly power and box design so either could win. A JL W7 would easy beat a RE XXX at SQ cause a XXX is SPL and W7 is SQ. But it all depends on the box and the power. I only say that they are over priced because a retail of $439.95 for a 8" is quite alot and so are the bigger ones.
