what up people??? thanks for coming in and help me out on this topic, i use all of you guys amazing music, in this case, i would like to get a funny ass song; biggest TV program of all time in latin america it´s called "el chavo" ,theme song it´s jean-jacques perrey - the elephant never forgets. i would like to surprise people on demos and maybe hairtricks with this piece of shit tune, my car SLAMS from 28 to 45 hz by the way, I WOULD LOVE to get some bass added on this thing, you know i´ve never asked for a song by the way hehe, you guys don´t even need to make the 2:30 song, just a minute and a half would be more than ok hehe, pretty please??? cheers!!!

You are correct my friend!!! I´m a fan of trial and error myself, just for example, i was using 17 SQ per cubic feet with my DD 1510´s and sounded awesome, amazing output, yes the Xmax it´s high so i used a big ass port, then, MTX gave me some nice 7500´s , built a box for them with a smaller port area because of the Xmax wich was way smaller, sounded nice and scored a 146.5 dbs, then, i got them to the DD´s box with that huge port and scored a 148.1 dbs , according to people´s experience, myself, calculators and everything they should have sounded better on the smaller port box, but it wasn´t. My point is, and i might be wrong, but port area also depends on box size and car, my little suzuki swift HATES big areoports as much as it hates big subs, once again, i might be wrong, but after testing tons of boxes and subs in a few years, i prefer to play with port areas until i get the best one instead of using some calculator , but that´s just me...

Yes, you can play with a lower nominal for daily, but in my case, i prefer to do it just for burps, impedance rise changes depending on the frequency , even having a big ass electric system, there´s always risks, if i were living on the US where an amplifier and parts are "cheap" i would do it, but over here, no fucking way haha

Yeah i hear ya, i´m gonna install my 2 18´s swift box inside the explorer for the moment, swift´s roof is cracking already I wanted to build 4 18´s without a wall but only way it can fit it´s like your box, i wanted to stay under window line but it´s impossible with 4 18´s trying to do some hairtricks haha, will see, congrats again!!!

As much as i love my 1510´s ( 145 @ 42 hz with 1500 watts at the time i used just 2) , i would go with the 18" without thinking about it, but, as the other guys said, you need space for a proper box!!

Hey guys, went to a show this weekend, took 1st place on bass race 149.9 class with my sexplorer and lots of new fans and friends with the swift´s show hehe, more than 60 demos on a single day, not bad for 2 cheap amplifiers and a pair of 3 years old subs Anyways, i have a few more vids, this is just the first one, let´s see if i can get at least a few comments wich i never get haha, cheers...

Well, you can always cut the lenght of the port until you find the way it sound better to your ears!!

yeah, 35 hz is way to low for a 4th order, 45 hz should do the trick

2:1 ratio should give you a big ass flat respond, 1 cubic feet the sealed chamber and 2 cubic feet the ported one, if you are looking to hit the lows i would tune @ 45 hz and with 36 SQ of port , that should sound very nice
