yeah i know tweets dont need much power, and rocking stock mids and highs is getting weird so anything helps lol what exactly is a active cross over? dont want to spend to much money on this. i just came up with the idea of it since im getting 2 sa 8s and a cheap "1200" watt amp that should push em enough. im putting them under front seats.. lol sorry told you i was a newb when it comes to mids and highs lol

the more i think about it the more stupid this idea sounds to me lol. would it be possible to hook up sundown 8s and set amp just like if it was for subs but send speaker wire to tweet but in between tweet and amp put a cross over?

yeah i was just looking at those. but i would need somehting beefier too to push some sundown 8s

also if this helps the reason im getting the cheap 1200 watt amp is for 2 sundown 8s im planning on getting and since my tweets are just laying around i was wondering if i would be able to hook up tweets to it to?

well imma still be rocking the stock hu for a while and cant get a 4channel hooked up. only my sub amp. and i have some super tweets laying around i can hook up. i was wondering if i can use a cheap 2 channel amp on them? or would it sound like shit? what would i need? i know it might not be as good as it can get but its better then nothing. also links to what i would need would be very helpful as well.! im thinking of just buying a cheap knock off 1200watt 2 channel for like 100 bucks. but would it work?

1 amp is more efficent then 2 amps.. even if same size lol but if your looking for more power then yeah.

cant extend port how would i "lower port area"? sorry im a box noob

hey my boxs lows response just isnt cutting it.. its 18.75deep 14.5in tall and 32in wide. port is 25in long and 3 in wide. how would i lwoer tuning? i really want to hit lows. like 28-32hz wise.. thought when you do a kerf port you add the length of kerf too but guess not its only 25in long not 35in.. how would i lower? i heard of port plugs or something like that.. what are those? i would really prefer something that isnt to hard to do
