  1. The 13.25 is area per foot. My setup will be for a daily and not for spl although i would be curious on how much db's i will be hitting. There is someone here that has 4 18" lvl 5's all single walled including the baffle and he hit 155 db's.
  2. What is the chances of the box breaking with single walls?
  3. there is a bump that goes up 3"... my truck is a extended cab and the box is in the cab... there is no way i could make a blowthrough cause the bed is fully modified also.
  4. the only way i would be able to have a bigger port area without going below 6cu is to just have the box single walled...
  5. I have finally started on building my wall for my bodydropped s10 and all I I can get is exactly 6 cu. That is with doubling up on the sides, top and bottom. My question is if it its okay to keep it at that? my area port is 13.25 and tuned at 34.72hz. I have two sundown saz-3000's to power them. I was planning on tuning it to atleast 33hz bur there is no way i would be able to get it at that without going below 6cu. lmk what you guys think.
  6. Instead of starting another thread, I'll just keep on posting in this thread... Since I will be making a wall for my s10, what is the best way to make it? And would you guys recommend just using the specs that I have for a regular box and build around it... For example, instead of making the cutout for the rear and for the baffle (43x26.5) from the Torres calculator, I just make a cutout to cover up the whole rear, baffle, floor and roof from the base up to the roof and use the cutouts from the calculator for the sides (26.5x13.5) and top (43x15)... So it's like building a box in a box if that makes sense... Lmk what you think.
  7. I would just like to thank steve for the awsome dd-1. I finally got the time to use it and my system sounds louder and cleaner... I cant wait to get my big system in.. Now all i need is the cc-1
  8. I finally got the chance to play around with the torres calculator a little more today... LMK what do you guys think of this? I think I'll try it at 6.35cu... I just hope this will sound good.
  9. The specs would be bigger... i can actually make the wall wedged because of my seat position but i figure that it would be easier to make a square wall instead... Jako - is your truck with the third door? my amps will be in my bed.
  10. I already did cut it but i figured i wont be able to use that since it tapers up a little... How would i get the measurement for that? i havent had any time to play with the calculator or take more measurements cause i'm pretty busy at work.
  11. U am going to have my setup as a daily... i actually am going to wall it, thats why i'm going sub forward port forward... My truck is 3" traditional bodydropped so i loss sone airspace... A friend told me if i am going for a daily, i should have the port on top facing forward for best results. the max space that i have in my cab is 33.5h x 46w x 19d... i figured i have the depth of 17" for the box so i can drive comfortably.
  12. I will be running two sundown saz3000's so 3k each sub. Would you guys recommend 3cu. each sub with that much power? how do i find out how much #common port wall i have? i am only gonna have a slotted port on top with the subs facing forward. As for the bracing, im not sure how much i will be using also... what would you guys recommend for the bracing... a all thread bolt or wooden dowels?
  13. I am new to box building so I just wanted to know if the measurements and specs that I have are correct. If you see anything wrong with it, could you please let me know so I could tweak it a bit to get it corrected. btw, this will be going into a extended cab s10... disregard my first pic... that was a mistake...lol
  14. I already have a mechman 270 amp alternator... I'll maybe pick up one more alternator and another xs d3100... Total of four batteries and two alternator... But I'll try out with what electrical I have right now and see how it does.
  15. Yeah... That is what I was thinking. Do you guys think it'll be worth it or should I just stick with the two subs
  16. I figured I would post in here since guys have had the experience with the xl's. I have a 3" traditional bodydrop extended s10 so I have lost air space in the cab. Right now I have two 15" xl's and two sundown saz-3000's. Each amp will be running each sub. As for my electrical I have a have three xs d3100's and a mechman 270 amp alternator. I was thinking of buying another 3k and another xl. My question is If I add another xl, will it fit? I will be walling off the cab and I know it'll be a tight. I also want to tune it at 34hz. Here are my measurements that I took: Width - 44" Height - 36" Depth 1 - 19" Depth 2 - 26" Is there anyone that could make a layout and diagram for the box? Btw, I want my system to be set up for daily.
  17. Did you get your ignition switch checked? I had that happen to me but on my Honda. I would be driving and all of a sudden everything just shuts off so I pull over on the side and try to crank it a couple of times. Maybe the third or fourth time I turn it, it starts right up. Its a good thing there was a recall on it so I got it fixed for free.
